I have my own speculation as to what it might be. After mephisto was killed and his Soul Stone Destroyed what happened to Inarius? I'm thinking all that blue is the chamber of mirrors.
"Mephisto himself is said to have appeared at the cathedral of Inarius. He laid waste to the church and the surrounding countryside. The Lord of Hatred took the proud archangel and his followers captive. He bound Inarius with tremendous chains and slowly tore the wings from the back of the angel. Great barbed hooks were then used to stretch out the once glowing skin and his features were distorted by vile powers. Many of the followers of Inarius were given as gifts to Baal and Diablo, but the rest were molded to match the bloated image of the now crippled angel. To this day, Inarius is said to be trapped in Hell within a chamber of mirrors, his eyelids torn from his face as he is forced to gaze upon his misshapen form for all eternity."
So Mephisto is dead and Inarius was betrayed by the council and his followers corrupted and turned into demons. I would think he's a bit pissed off and is ready for some payback.
"In the Diablo: Sin War trilogy written by Richard A. Knaak, it is revealed that Inarius along with other rogue angels and demons are responsible for the creation of Sanctuary and the Nephalem (Angel and demon hybrids with great power). Inarius wished a Sanctuary away from the constant battles between demons and angels as well as create his own High Heavens which would be greater than the original. However the development of the Nephalem's powers infuriated Inarius making him want to start anew by eradicating all the Nephalem. This brought him into conflict with Mephisto's daughter, his romantic partner Lilith. Due to the conflict between the two Inarius banished Lilith. This is because Lilith desired to be a tyrant with an unbeatable army under her control while Inarius wanted lowly worshipers. But before Lilith's banishment, Lilith had killed all other angels and demons on Sanctuary preventing Inarius from destroying the only sentient being left on Sanctuary, the Nephalem because Inarius did not wish isolation. And so Inarius used the worldstone to prevent the Nephalem from developing their powers, reducing each succeeding generation's powers until they became the mere normal humans of Sanctuary. Inarius also used the world stone to mask the existence of Sanctuary from his own Angelic kind in the High Heavens. He then later created the religion Cathedral of Light to make the beings of Sanctuary worship and serve him."
That's not fail, idiot. That's the Devil's star. Diablo's star. The Hell Star. You can find it in the Countess' tower as a flame star. If one of the runes lines up in the spots that are left, you can bet this guy's onto something.

I began to think that the first rune could be Nef since the first hidden image was 04.jpg and Nef is #4 rune in the rune list. Now I didn't think this at first but since the second hidden picture was 15.jpg and Hel is #15 rune.
The first one looks as much Nef as it looks Shael imo.
It makes sense. 5 seals, once all are pressed, there won't be a sixth for the last letter in the name "DIABLO" since Diablo will pop out and blow up all the frikkin' ice.

How does that look like a nef at all? (in splash1)

Wow never though of that..nice find. Now that you think of it..I can see that tiny dot of the Nef rune...but you want to flip the rune inscription so it matches

If u rotate the nef a bit it has that same kind of y shape. I believe blizz intentionally left it messy since they didn't want to show it all of at once.
Yeah, but we're kidding ourselves about that first rune. It just not the same as Nef or Shael.
Not to mention the rune is the same as the WOTLK teaser pic.
So... that rune just doesn't seem D3 related.
Meanwhile, the second one without a shadow of a doubt a Hel rune.

Maybe. And after they noticed everyone was thinking WotLK, they were like "oh fuck, just put a hel rune in there" so we wouldn't get off track of diablo
The symbols from the runes seem to be placed on those places that resemble formations that look exactly what a rune rock looks like in Diablo 2 and LOD.

To be honest I thought on the first day that it was just the author's signature, and that what seemed as faces to some people was merely either a mistake while drawing and a covering from the graphics author.

lol it can still easily be a ranger since who said you cant shoot arrows at melee distance xD

The Barbarian is from Arreat, a very cold snowy mountain top, but they are much tougher than normal humans, so they don't need warmth.

Where are Barbarians originally from? Sumeria, or more specifically Mesopotamia, AKA Europe. Think the Alps and the Pyrenees
Epic quotes... all of them

As for that purple puzzle - I'm sure I've seen it before, and it was on Blizzard's website.
If you go here:
http://www.blizzard.com/us/inblizz/fanart/ScreenShot.html
And turn to page 13 you'll see this:
And if you load the page, you'll see this Diablo like monster with a birthday hat!
You'll find 3 other question marks in the gallery. (pages 13, 32, 21)
Maybe they all came from the same fan?
I wanted to post this yesterday, but the thread was locked..
What do you guys think?
And the heavens shall tremble!

Edited: Grabed that from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_non-player_characters_in_Diablo#Inarius

Ice (Sword) (Dagger) (Axe) spea - Tal - Hel - Io - Nef
Ice?
duh.
haha funny.
You can't have a rune that "kind of resembles" what you want or you might turn yourself into a sheep.
I really cant wait to play diablo 3
This is honestly the first piece of evidence for Diablo that has actually gotten me excited. I'm starting to get emotional
