It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
Actually, if the universe is still expanding, it cannot be infinite, and the current theory is that our universe is constantly expanding. And actually, I think it's not even a theory anymore.
But it's expanding in light years/second or something like that. That's ... unthinkably fast.
And an even bigger question is, "What's outside of space" ? Since it's expanding, there has to be something outside of it ...

Until someone actually gets a ship and hits a wall in the universe it's going to remain a theory.
Haha. That reminds me of Futurama, when they get to "the end of the universe", and across this huge gap is another alternate universe, and alternate versions of themselves looking back. =P
Well, my point still stands that the universe(it may not be infinite) is so god damn gigantic that you could never ever measure it, and that means the numbers of planets and such may as well be infinite considering, so there has to be something on at least one more of them.
Actually, if the universe is still expanding, it cannot be infinite, and the current theory is that our universe is constantly expanding. And actually, I think it's not even a theory anymore.
No, theoretically, based on the "Big Bang" theory, eventually the matter will cease to expand and hits a barrier of sorts that no one has observed yet, and will then collapse, and then eventually expand, and so on and so forth.
The confusion that exists with all these random religion is one reason not to follow them, lol.
Tell me about it:rolleyes:
Well its about the tradition of getting married, yes? its all based on Catholicism, Judaism, whatevericism, everyone knows this.
No, the marital tradition has been around for thousands of years, and is prevalent in nearly every religion, in some form or another (I.E. harems.)
Well, since they want to deny marital validity based on the concept the religion is a bunch of bunk and has no relevance, the only thing left to reason with is science and logic.
tradition in most "advanced" countries are pretty much based on the exact same principles
And we know that nearly none of the "advanced" countries are Christian/Catholic/Jewish/Islamic. Therefore, you do not need those religions to have a cultivated marital tradition practice.
Islam also has marital traditions. However, Islam's roots are in the old-age Judiasm, when the split came between the promise son of god- I believe it was the thing between Jacob and Esau, and was further strengthened when Muhammed's prophetic writings were not accepted in to the current day Christian bible because they were not cannonitical with the rest of the Christian writings (at the time of the assemblance of the scriptures), but I might be mistaken, I studied about it a while ago...
1. It is the last step and the most ultimate way to physically bond with your partner. If you use sex just for pleasure, and not for love, then you are misusing it. If you use sex for love, you'll feel so good about doing it for both you and your partner, however, it may hurt after a breakup to know you shared a bond like that with someone that probably won't be in your dating life anymore.
2. The way sex is portrayed in media is a bad influence. Media shows sex as pleasure appeal. They think, "If we could get a physically attractive girl to pose with our product, people will want it." And the reason they are intrigued is because of the pleasure-giving nature of sex. They link the product they are advertising with pleasure. Which is wrong.
Such as? Anyways, marital, and many other traditions (even traditional laws), are pretty much all heavely based on the principles of those religions, wich are all very much alike anyways.
Compare a Taoist and a New Ager, or a Christian and a Satanist, and you'd think very differently.
A Taoist and a New Ager both believe heavily in the spiritual, but a Taosit heavily stresses that nature, and nature alone, should be worshiped. After death, their spirit blends in with the overall life force of the world, and is reborn in nature ( a quazi-reincarnation belief- look deeper if you want to.)
However, a New Ager does not necessarily even have to take part in worship, which is what makes it an odd religion, and does not stress any worship of nature, thus (however there are those who believe in faeries and such that live in trees and the earth, but that's a different story.) It stresses communication with the dead and seeing in to the future, and has adapted a lot of facets of Eastern Meditation and Hinduism. The afterlife for them ranges from person to person- some believe that ghosts remain in the world, some believe that each person has their own version of a heaven, and there are also others. The concept of hell is not usually believed in, to my knowledge.
A Christian (the biblical, fundamentalist kind) believes that god is trying to reach the world's human inhabitants to save them from themselves, because Christianity maintains that humans are naturally evil and will seek to do things for selfish reasons. The selfishness is the contradiction of god's standards, and will taint the human's soul, making them unable to be in the presence of god (think of sin, even a little bit, as a pinch of cyanide- you wouldn't want to be anywhere near it.) It says that god tries to reach them through the sacrificial slaughter of his son, the second part of the divine godhead trinity. Then, on Easter Sunday, he supposedly rose from the dead, proving that he had beaten the power of death and sin, and so any human who believes that his death can take away their sins and devotes themselves to the Christian cause is then purified of this taint and allowed to be in the presence of god in heaven after death (otherwise they enter hell for eternity.)
A Satanist is sometimes someone who believes that Satan will triumph over the Christian god in the end time and be rewarded afterwards. The main stress of it is self indulgence at any cost. Most, however, just maintain the latter and don't believe in Satan- I've heard it's because they like to piss off Christians. The afterlife, again, is shaky. The former believe that Satan will rule heaven, and will thus live there, in glorified bodies, while the latter don't believe in an afterlife, usually. Some maintain that they will just exist in hell : /
They are all extremely different.

I don't care about religion, can't stand it, it's just I'd rather be bound to someone legally and mentally before I decide to have sex with them.
I'd rather be bound emotionally myself...

I really don't understand why would I want to see two people stroking each other and moaning? Why do I have to look at that? It's like people kissing in the hallways, same exact thing.
Because someone is going to make you watch them? Reminds me of the gay dispute. "We can't have gay's in public! I don't wanna see gay's kiss!" If someone does not want to see something, then don't look. It's pretty simple. There is a huge beautiful country out there, have a look at that.

There is infinite space in the universe according to current theory, infinite space and maybe .001% of that is taken up by planets. Any percentage)short of 0) of an infinite number is also an infinite number so there's an infinite number of planets. now, same rules apply for inhabitable planets, there's probably a similar ratio for that but that's still an infinite number of inhabitable planets, if there isn't even 1 species with human-like intelligence out there somewhere I'll shoot myself.
So you pulled that out of your ass, right?

I haven't actually read holy books
Don't worry. No Christian has read any holy books. It's only people that are not Christian that have read the Christian Bible.
I think the media (Magazines, Internet, TV, Advertisements, Films, etc.) are too saturated with sex. The most important thing it affects deeply in society, is children and teens. They should be educated about sex indeed, but not through the media. It is a constant bombardment ... too much for children/teens to handle in my opinion. Not all of them are able to process it maturely. This increases the chances of early pregnancy, uncontrolled sex among teens, and inadequate behaviors that lead to an interior emptiness.
When in fact, at that age they should mostly focus on studying, having a healthy interaction with other young people, having fun and maturing at the intended rate. But sadly due to the US Constitution having gaps, the freedom of speech allows the media to bombard with no limits the population with sex.
Using the "Let adults handle the access children/teens have to it" isn't really the way to justify it. You can't ask an adult to simply remove a TV from their room. Or not allow them to go outside the house. Or force adults to monitor 24/7 what they watch on TV. It should be the government and media's responsibility.
Sometimes a teen walks off their home to reach their school, and in less than two minutes they get smacked with a half-naked woman on a big board seen across the street. And on their way to school inside the bus they will be exposed to way too much of the same advertisement boards.
Turn on the TV to see very sex-themed TV Commercials at unproper hours of the day. That is regulated by the government and the media. Nothing we can do as parents to prevent that from reaching children and teens.
After what Janet Jackson did in the Super Bowl, Broadcasting Law has been somewhat restricting, which is good. TV shows can get shut down or highly fined for showing sensitive material. However, more needs to be done. Now that TV is going digital, the government should have made it so that these digital boxes you need to buy can allow some kind of parental control settings and passworded channels to restrict what channels, time of the day, etc. teens can or not have access. The government should make sure certain type of content or TV Commercials don't air at certain times. That way limiting that bombardment of unnecessary data that is being input into young people.

I don't see the difference, I don't care who does it, I don't want to see it, and hear it. And don't tell me I don't have to look. First of all, I can't control my ears. If someone is discussing how his gf sucked on his asshole, ate his shit with his sperm, that's not something I can decide "not to hear", eh? Or if people are standing in front of me, in a hallway, kissing, and sooner or later, I am going to see it, even if I chose not to, and it is going to annoy me, day after day - I want this gone! I happen to disagree with you a tiny bit there.
You see, America has been doing this "sex is bad" and "don't have sex since it's against everything you believe in". Does it affect the teens and sex? Yes, it does. Putting so much stress on sex that kids can't even talk about it in their own home definitely makes kids want to have sex, since they can't really control their sexual urges and they're naturally curious about the opposite sex's reproductive organs. So when the media starts showing half naked women and men in their boxers on TV and magazines, all of the youth will start to be more curious and think that it's "cool" to go against the rules. So that's why we have so many teen pregnancies.

And Lineage, how many open busts do we have? What do you think works better on teens, advertisement of sex, or teachers saying sex is bad? I think the former.
