The purpose of reviews is not to understand if a movie is good, but if the movie is your type. But it takes certain knowledge/skill to read the right reviews and understand them correctly, surpassing all the elements of emotion, overcriticism, or ignorance. But all in all, reviews take less time and/or effort and/or money than seeing the actual movie.

In any case, that's quite subjective. I am not certain if the movie is indeed patriotic, but if it is, it's not worth the attention of a serious movie geek... for a sit-in, maybe.
And movie geeks aren't subjective, boring, or disgusting?

I don't need a really negative one. I just need someone who doesn't really like the movie. To give me the other side of the story. Not this "it's good good good". I got that with 300 already, and it sucked for all the hype raised over it.
Then I seriously don't see why you are in this thread. If you don't like the topic or the thread itself, leave right? But no, you love to troll.

That's either a few days of slow internet or a visit to a cinema where I need to pay 7 bucks, and, most importantly, sit for 2 hours or so in front of a potentially patriotic movie. I have only so much time to watch movies, and once in a while I just have to push them back to 2 years later when my parents get them in Russian...
I don't understand your point. You spend all day in front of your computer, your parents probably pay for your movie ticket, and if you're seriously taking serious time with your folks I don't see why you are on this forum so much, if at all.

So who are you slandering? These people's intellegence for not knowing how to read my review or are you coming after me, who wrote the emotional overcriticized, and/or ignorant review? I'll give you credit on sneaking that in there without being too bold about it.
I am not going to reply to most of your post, since it is mostly offtopic, but I'll reply to the last paragraph:
I am not slandering anyone in particular, I am indifferent to the authors of the reviews as people. But, they are often written emotionally, criticizingly, and ignorantly, because I read the views of PEOPLE, not insensitive movie critics. Examples of such:
emotional:
"Oh my, there was so much violence in this movie, this baby got crushed, oh my, this movie is horrible."
- a violent, graphic depiction doesn't make a movie bad.
overcriticized:
"The camera angles in these scenes were totally amateur. You can clearly see that the director still had little experience. Same goes for the composer."
- the person is missing the point of the movie itself and looks at the technical composition.
ignorant:
"In that movie, it was really dumb how they managed to flee the planet when it was only supposed to listen to His Divine Shadow or something." (the movie in question is LEXX)
- the person did not understand the movie. It was pretty clear that the ship was controlled by a key and voice, both of which were acquired by the new captain, but the reviewer missed it.
I went to see it with my girlfriend at the drivins and me and her both were on the edge of the seats i expected to go see a good movie and have a good time but i went out with my jaw in my lap. It was incredible just how good the movie was compared to both our expectations.

If you ever meet a hafling and a hungry dragon you dont have to outrun the dragon, you only have to outrun the hafling.
It was a really good movie, Also at the end of the Incredible Hulk, Stark comes over and talks to the general and he is like 'So I am making this team...' Then the movie ends, I can't wait for the next one.

I am not a fan of Jazz music.
on a good day.... Optimistic and freedom-loving Jovial
and good-humored Honest and straightforward
Intellectual and philosophical
On a bad day.... Blindly optimistic and careless
Irresponsible and superficial Tactless and restless
I know it's kinda late and super necro but I watched Iron Man just yesterday, and I hardly ever go to the movies so...
It was a pretty well directed, funny kinda movie, lacked a point, though. I think they tried to make some point with not making weapons anymore, helping people, getting a family, etc., but it seemed to have slipped by somewhere with all the big bot-suits fighting.
The blatantly unrealistic nature of it all is probably what annoyed me the most. Huge armored robot in a cave? In what, a week? Heart magnet? lol
The movie sort of started off as a good, realistic/serious kind of a movie... then it slowly slid into total comics with cool suits flying around trying to kill each other. Overall it had a strong feeling of something that would never happen.
I have to say, though, the movie was hilarious, especially Stark. The best parts of the movie is just him talking and joking around, lol.
Heh. The movie didnt excite me. I guess its becouse I saw The Dark Knight before I saw Iron man. I gatta stop doin that lol

Bad cinematography is a deal breaker IMO. It's hard to watch a movie, even if it's good, if a shitty job went in creating it.
