yes we all forgive you. i would also like to add a little story concerning the spartans since FingolfinGR brought them up:
back in the days of ancient greece the spartans were a powerful warrior race. however they were invaded from the north by the persians (or some other country) and gradually they lost land to the invaders. the enemy king made his way to the spartan capital where the spartan king was.
the enemy king sent a message that was small, yet effective "if we take your city we will burn it to the ground" it said. the reply from the spartan king shocked him and sent disbelief into the enemy king. on the small piece of paper he recieved was the word "if". soon after the spartans broke the enemy and sent them running back to their own land.
i thought this was a cool story and told about how the spartans were true warriors that never gave up even when they were at risk of being overtaken. just a little history lesson brought to you by Carloseus. (a very bad made lesson but a lesson nonetheless"

yeah they were. But they werent imperialistic. They only stayed in their own city which they protected with their bodies and no fortifications at all. They even had big bronze coins, of almost no value. Everyone had the same properties as the others except for the 2 kings that had double. They were something like the first communists in history
The biggest war they fought wasnt against the Persians (it was the most glorious, no doubt, but not the biggest/hardest). It was against the Athenians (the imperialistic power during that time). They won but to do so they had to work for a while with the Persians for the last few years of the war.
As much for Greek history
how the spartans were true warriors that never gave up even when they were at risk of being overtaken
best example for that would be Thermopyles. 300 Spartans and 700 from the region there stopped roughly over 10.000 Persians (before they were betrayed). They slowed them long enough for the greek alliance to take them down later on, though.
The Starter of SilverSurfnStudism. "Ask Lord Silver, I dare you."
kinda irrelevant, but it was said by the Spartans before the Romans
