My friend and I were making our way through Act III Hell when we happened upon Uber Diablo. We're having more than a bit of trouble with him, with our present plan being to have me go toe-to-toe with him on my Javazon while spamming Full Rejvenation potions and Charged Strike. To that end we're clearing the rest of the act to collect said potions for the final showdown. However, if that doesn't work we obviously don't want to let such a rare opportunity go to waste, and this was the only place I could think of to send up a signal for some help. If you are interested, whisper me on CodewordSeal in-game and we'll hook you up with the game info.
If there's another place I should or could be requesting this help, that information would also be appreciated. Thanks!
i cant help you ingame but I can give you advice how it is pretty easy to do, but it requires you to have other characters aswell.
any melee (amazon, barb, zealot paladin, werewolf druid, etc.) with some crushing blow (chance to do %health dmg on hit) on his equipment.
the best and easiest class is a paladin using smite (the shield attack), because it has a 95% hit chance without any attack rating. you can even use a hammerdin for this, doesnt matter. you just need to equip any item with crushing blow and spam smite.
in addition to that you want to keep either poison or a bleed effect on him to disable the regeneration. the strength of the poison doesnt matter.
note: a smite paladin won't be able to lifesteal, but he will be able to benefit from the life-tap curse of the necromancer.
sorry thats sad to hear. but you can take those tips and apply them to the uber-tristram event too. they are pretty much the same but one step harder.
if you plan to do that with your friend, one of you should definetly play a paladin using smite with crushing blow. the uber bosses are so hard to hit (they require a huge attack rating for decent hit chance), that smite is just too good to not use it. it has always 95% hit chance as I said. and you really don't need a special build for that to work, because you will always have a point in smite to enable the holy shield talent anyway.
the damage of the spell itself is irrelevant. crushing blow will do the work, while bleed/poison stops the regen.
and if you don't want to play or dont have a necromancer in adition to the paladin, you can even buy a wand with lifetap charges and use it on any other class. If I remember correctly this can be done the easiest way in act2 at drogan. If the entrance to the town is right next to drogan, you can quickly run out of town and back in, which will reset the shop inventory and make it pretty easy to find such a wand with lifetap charges.
