Sorry, Necronergal and Jeru aren't in there yet. But maybe next episode, eh?
Ohh yeah, that 'Deckard Cain' figure. That is actually the 'and a half' unannounced forum member. Do you remember someone called Lostraven? His avatar was an image of Cain, and I was gonna make him a Cain-impersonator lol, but he hasn't posted in a while (only have 62 posts), nor has he even posted in here. I dunno, somehow he just stuck in my memory. I think I remember him mainly because he always signed his posts with "- lostie", which I thought was a weird name, and his image of Cain has "Deckard Cain in da hizzouse!!!", which I also thought was weird. His weirdness left a mark on my memory lol.
And as the u=45 denotes, He was the 45th User registered here.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
If said person who joined after the announcement is able to make a name for themselves and distinguish themselves from the host of others who joined at the same time, I do not see why not.

Akin to Luckmann. Honestly, Luckmann and Asphorune are the only two that have stood out of the crowd for me. Everyone else seems to kind of blend in together...
Plus, with Luckmann and Asphorune, you know your probably gonna get a pretty good post. The others are usually fighting amongst themselves about the color and how stupid it is for trees to be green in the game and not some shade of grey.
Honestly, I think if any new member were to be in the comic, those two would be first picks. But that's just from what I have seen.
That was rather my point. Luckmann is one that definitely stands out for me. I have seen much from Asphorune, and impressed with much of it. I would not be surprised if either, if not both made appearances, even if only at a cameo level. Not necessarily a heavily recurring role.

Exactly.
Granted, it may also be seen as a slap in the face of those that have been here longer. Still, if anyone from the rush was to be in it, my vote goes to Luckmann and Asphorune. As I previously said, the others seem to blend together...
well actually wouldn't all of us be in the crowd but just can't see where we are because there are too many people?
Yeah, thats the idea. But I just don't want to disappoint people by pretending that their specific character is there.
And yes, Luckmann and Daemaro for me are definitely noticeable, but Asphorune not as much. Though he does ring a bell. But yeah, I'm definitely trying to get the older members in first. Lostie was only sort of in there because it was really easy to just draw Cain and call him by another name, because technically Cain can't be in Deeha'Blothri as he is in some other part of Sanctuary, possibly Tristram at the moment.
The whole timeline thing is confusing though, because its been seven years since LoD, but for Sanctuary its been twenty years. I chose to go with the seven. I dunno, I might have to end up fast forwarding time..

It's a comic. Since when do comics have to make sense.
When logic and proportion Have fallen sloppy dead, And the White Knight is talking backwards And the Red Queen's off with her head, Remember what the dormouse said.

Feed your head? How's that supposed to make sense of the seven years vs twenty years?...
Anyway, if you have to use human years, I would use Sanctuary as a base, after all, the comic is about the forum, but Deeha'Blothri is in Sanctuary, right?
It is in Sanctuary, but its also an allegory of real life. Umaro and Mockery don't really resurrect diablo in the world of Sanctuary, that only happens on the forums (in a way). The comic is more about the events of this forum than it is about role-playing us into Sanctuary.
But seeing as I am a fan of nonsense, thats a good point, Elfen. I'll just um, be vague about it. Hmm, maybe I should have said 20 instead of seven. Or maybe I could just say 'years', and not be specific.
I might give it a bit of a 'patch' update soon and give Link his sword, Elfen his beard and fix up the years.

As the initial lyrics speak of, When logic and all proportion have fallen sloppy dead. Don't let a little thing like logic and common sense get in the way of good story.
This comic's creator is a fan of the Alice series, a series famous for it's character's or even in some cases it's story's inability to make sense. As comics often drawn inspiration from other sources, including the Alice series, I do not see why it has to make sense. Even the Diablo series contradicts itself.
Anyway, if you have to use human years, I would use Sanctuary as a base, after all, the comic is about the forum, but Deeha'Blothri is in Sanctuary, right?
It's hard to explain, but the short answer is yes.
One way of looking at it is The Spongbob effect. Yet another example of nonsense. Spongebob Squarepants takes place under water, yet in almost every episode their is a contradiction or thing that cannot possibly happen, such a filling up a glass with water from a tap, lighting a camp fire, taking a bath. It is under water yet not under water. So to like that this comic is in Sanctuary yet not in Sanctuary, as it also parodies the forums.

I suppose, if I were to suddenly and blatantly say '20 years' later on, completely contradicting myself, it could also be like a reference to all the canonical changes blizzard has made?

Yea, probably be best to just be vauge. And whenever a time thing comes up, make it so that something always happens right before the other character answers. Be funny and frustrate everyone. *Snickers.*

The User Deckard Cain also had well Deckard Cain as an avatar. And he had it first. Years before Lost Raven.

PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.
What do you mean? You talk in the second image with a nice big image of yourself. You're the one that explains the details about the 'leaders of town'. How did you not see that? lol
