kefka666333abc123 - no offense man, but you asq too much strange questions.
Voodo is fully right ( as me as well )
palas was never overpowered.
they would be - if they were faster characters, but they are very slow movement characters.
so - please - play more with palas , and then redecide.
i have only 11 palas that play with ( highter was lvl 81 ) ( only 1 hamerdin )
but i have 27 sorcs ( highter was lvl 92 ) ( SoulGuard ) ( Europe B.net )
and i can say for sure once more : PALAS ARE NOT OVERPOWERED !!!!!
palas are just human representation on the conflict between heaven and hell.
you have 11 paladins and 27 sorceress'.....

Seems like he likes to play with classes that are generally the strongest I've always had loads of barbarians.. just about 1 for each mastery, at least if I have found some nice weapon that I can use.. all the other classes I pretty much only have 1 of them / season / classic and lod / hardcore and softcore. Depends a bit what I play at that moment.. generally classic hc.
LOL.. boost and help is the plague of D2 or LOD actually. Everyone is so used to getting quests done and levels made for them that all they people do in bnet is beg for help in the chat.. there are so many people that are really helpless if someone is not doing the things for them.
Things were different before lod when people had to manage on their own or at max get helped trough the quests. But leeching didn't really work.

The plague of LOD indeed. I rush people just about everyday. Then after I rush them they all want me to add them to the friend list. Not gonna happen. I don't need noobs spamming me when I am running baals or mfing. Asking stupid things like "What is thul rune worth?" and "Is spine ripper worth a hr"
The best time to play is right after a ladder reset. Almost all the people you see playing do it legit and have some amount of skill in building a character. Those are the kinds of people I enjoy playing with. The ones that are noobs are easily spotted and can quickly be squelched. I can't wait for a new ladder season to start.
@OP
I agree that paladins are overpowered when it comes to magic finding. With redemption aura there really is no need for a merc. The hammerdin is the only character I have ever built that can run a full chaos game without help from mercenary or other players. Not saying that it can't be done by another charater. I'm just saying it is the fastest and safest character to do such things with.
When it comes to dueling, in my opinion, they are not that overpowered. A skilled Bowzon, Wind Druid, Assassin, Necro, Sorc and in very rare cases Barbarians can smoke a paladin. A smiter with lifetap in duels is bad mannered and without it they are somewhat weak. Though for dueling purposes I'd say a smiter is more powerful than a hammerdin when played right.
I myself am horrible at dueling with my hammerdin. It's sorc or wind druid for me in that realm of the game.
It all comes down to who you are playing how they built their character and how they use it.

The blind mind's eye replies with a sigh and a tear of contempt for those who see the world as it truly is.

Really nice post.....I agree with everything except the part about dueling...there damage was far to high if you ask me.....and you say skilled people....the average dueler is that...only average..most people are average...and a average hdin is generally better off in a dueling game then any other build...but thats just my opinion
First of all, learn to spell, and to type proper english.
As far as WoW is concerned, Paladins have always either been a tanking or healing class. We were worthless as a Dps class. Go ahead, try rolling a Retribution Pally before patch 2.3. You would have been laughed at. Since the patch we were OP'ed, and gradually brought down. We're not OP'ed anymore.
/vouch
Just because they finally buffed ret pallys to be viable doesn't mean you should bitch and call them OP. i played ret for over a year before WOTLK and i got laughed at and left out of alot of groups. So if your going to bitch about somthing please tell the whole story.

When you meet a skilled dueler you know it because he hardly ever uses the mainstream class/build, he might have something totally different and still he beats everyone

Ive met many skilled duelers and im willing to as far as saying I once was also skilled.....what build can you name thats totally different that OWNS when a skilled player uses it? Theres not many that have a chance against the usual top builds like smiters V/T FB sorcs, pnb necro, hdin, wind druid, ghost, ww barb(bva bvb bvc).
Ill admit ive seen some nutty guys using shit liek a double throw barb with absolutely ridiclous gear and raping a game but in the end the guy just used his smiter cuz it was just palin better because other good duelers would end up raping the guy lol...

Second, the Paladin in Warcraft 3 was pretty commonly accepted as one of the worst heroes as a human. Archmage all the way.
