Yeh I didn't think they had tails, unless the tails protrude forwards instead of backwards.
The hornet's stinger is protruding forward, but that could just be because it is somewhat resting on it.
Beedrill's stinger sticks out the the front as well.
It could just be some kind of weapon, but it's just as likely it's a penis.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
Many people believe realism to be scary. Hence an anatomically correct demon would be more frightening to them than an anatomically incorrect one.

Well, based on the in-game character sprites and the concept art, I'm starting to think it's both. I know there was a discussion earlier about demons being sinful, lust is a sin, etc., so why wouldn't they use their genitalia as a weapon?
The concept art shows that the part in question is kind of...barbed and spikey. Imagine how painful it would be to be uh...penetrated by something like that. Not only would it be a way for a demon to satisfy their lust, but the unfortunate victim would probably be torn to shreds from the inside out. There, kill two sins with one stone.
I'm probably not being too clear on this, or I'm just way out in left field daydreaming about ponies, but it makes a weird sort of sense (to me, anyway).

I really don't know why we have to talk about this. It is a very akward subject. Why would we want to see demon's genitals.
It's awkward, but strangely kind of interesting. A topic like this isn't something that's typically thought about (that I've seen), so hey, why not? Not to mention some of the responses are just funny.

That is covered in the movie Se7en. Specifically the death associated with the sin of Lust. It it virtually identical to what your saying.
You just made me more confused then I already am. Don't you study about demons?
I engage in a little demonology, yes. But mostly for funzies, as well with there being a rather huge lack of subjects to study for medical purposes I am somewhat forced to study theory, what they are, how they came to be, not how they reproduce.
And what is confusing you? The possibilty the flange that extents outward may infact be some kind of weapon as opposed to a reproductive organ?
That some people are scared more by something that seems more real than something fake?

I think that's somewhere along the lines of the point Atrumentis wanted to make.
Also a vast number of demons and monsters in the manga Berserk have done that very act of multiple occasions. What's your point?

I am just getting confused on all the information you are giving. I would not want to think that demons would rape me. That would be scary. You are sound asleep then you hear grunting noises, and then you are awoking by a movement you do not know what it is.

the prime evils bodys were human at one time so logically they should still have genitals (twisted, contorted, flaccid, and unused as they may be) in some way or form. Not that the developers should go ahead and render a giant penis on diablo, but if the game was striving for ultimate realism then that would be a requisite (or some pants).

All we are doing is theorising as to the purpose of the flange on the demon. Demon rape, while not present in Diablo, yet is a fairly common thing, esp. in anime, but also in literature, Robin Goodfellow's father who is King of the fairies raped a young human female. Plus there are a number of greek myhts that touch on the subject I'm sure.
Succubi are well known for seducing human males, and their counterparts, Inccubi are renowned for seducing human females, so we can draw pretty much beyond a doubt that these two demons will have sex with humans. So therefore they must have genitals.
The issue is only really concerning the more demonic, and monster looking creatures. The ones covered in thorns, spikes, hair, or anything else that makes them seem non-human, such as the little demon that has been at the centre of this discussion.
Of course you could argue that if Blizzard were to give us Diablo III (or at the very least a new game set in the Diablo world) we wouldn't have time to come up with these theories as we would be far too busy playing said game or games, assuming it comes with an expansion. Blizzard have yet to make a sequel to a game that didn't have an expansion. At least that I can recall.

And we know dinosaurs didn't have visible genitals because...? They didn't on family oriented programming?
Anybody here watch National Geographic? I swear sometimes it's national pornographic, animal sex shoved in your face, yep, your staring at some silverback gorilla's big black balls.

just take a look at modern day reptiles and you will have your answer.
yah but if dinosaurs are like reptiles, wouldn't they have them hidden then, yes i know about evolution and all that but why would they go through an evolutionary change just to have their genitals hidden?

that just sounds like a demon humping someone.
