Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.
well doncha think that their corpses wouldve been there:confused: i mean wirts was and griswold was like what ever remember when wirt was talking about griswold saving him from the butcher thats wh y his leg was wooden i bet that matbe adria knew some thing was gonna happen and evey body except griswold left and wirt stayed b/c grissy saved him
there were corpses at the places they used to be, but not named/lootable. Cant really tell for sure, since Blizzard hasnt mentioned them. I wouldnt mind Ogden and Adria greeting me to start the new adventure in Diablo 3. Or Pepin healing me over and over when i get back to town. like in good old times
-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
I loved Farnham. He was a much better drunk than Geglash. Cause he'd say things like, "Why you always gotta talk about blood? Why can't you talk about flowers or something?"
As for Ogden, Pepin, Farnham, that useless chick that you couldn't buy anything from and never had anything insightful to say, we can assume they're all dead. And if they're not, they certainly weren't interesting enough to bring back.
Adria I could see getting away. But she, although reclusive and sef-absorbed, seemed to have just enough pride in her town and cared enough about the people there, that she probably took a stand against the invading demons, and therefore died. You know what I mean? Like, she seemed powerful enough to escape if she wanted to, but not nearly powerful enough to take on a hoard of demons.
I didn't care that Wirt was killed. I actually enjoyed looting his body and getting all the money back he was charging me just to look at his reoccuring special items.
Cain went on to Diablo II and continued to sound vaguely like Sean Connory.

If Farnham really survived and came back in D3, I'd have to conclude he was the most powerful mortal ever with a liver created by the High Heavens itself.
time progression between games isnt that much. end of d1 the warrior puts the stone in his head, begining of act 3 d2, the warrior still looks like the warrior. the longest gap in time seems to be the gap between act 4 and act 5. marius is totally ravaged in looks when he is in the asylum telling his story compared to what he looks like in his story.
so i guess its possible for some if not all the residents of tristram who werent in d2 to at least try to escape tristram. i guess what im trying to say is it not entirely impossible for any of the other chars from d1, ogden the bar tender, gillian the bar maid, farhnam the drunk, Pepin the Healer, adria the witch, lester the farmer (complete nut), to be in d3. but they would only bring someone back if they said something cool or gave you a quest.

Lester the farmer (otherwise known as the complete nut) was added to the game with the expansion, Diablo: Hellfire.
i dont recall the town guardsman who gives you the butcher quest having a name other than dying man or townsperson, or something to that effect.

Okay, Hellfire, actually remains to this day the only Diablo installment I've never played but have always wanted to. It was made by Sierra, right?

ithink rescuing them from inside the labrynth would be a great quest to go down and see the butchers place and the poisened water place
I've noticed that the Protoss Observer seemed at one time to be monitoring Adria. Maybe it can tell us what happened to her.
