I've been playing SP ES and its pretty legit lol. I could use some tips tho, hell is really hard still. I still don't understand modding and d-stoning and those wiki's don't explain it really. and is there any other way to get crystals other than ore? cuz i got all the way to hell and still got like only 12 chipped crystals.

Crystals only come in ore as far as I know. You should join up on some Hamachi groups that play ES. I play a few times a week if you wanna join up. It's kind of hard to find people to play with as it is though.

Good to see you. Join up on my hamachi group, there are usually a few people on. Some from here and the others are from BoD.

The only place to get crystals is ores and yea, they are very hard to come by.

heyo. i got in the hamachi thing.

what characters, and lvls, does everyone play and is there like a time that ppl usually play together? i got a 80 fire sorc that is pretty terrible, but i'm down to make a new guy if we need some sort of chemistry, its so easy to lvl lol

We have a Monday game we are in A3 NM around level 62 or so. (but a couple players arnt playing today so it's a bye day, lol)

We also play on Thursdays - we are A1 normal just getting to Monastery, around lvl 17ish.

But everyone on there is very friendly, so if you are on chat them up and get a game going.

I have a whole lot char chars at different levels, but I "retired" them, and decided to start fresh, with the exception of those two above. But I can switch out the folder (I didn't delete them totally) and play other chars. I have TONS of stuff too - I owe Daemaro some things just haven't seen him on lately - and I told Siay I give him some things too but he is ignoring me again.

Hi. I was just wondering if someone could give an explanation as to how I set up the ES mod? I downloaded it a couple of days ago and couldn't get it to work, then switched to the Median XL mod which I ended up not liking at all because I felt the drop rates were terrible and I really hated the skills, I played until I was a level 8 Barbarian and MAYBE had 4 monsters drop anything besides gold, I also used the /players 8 command to increase everything before hand as well. Also, could you guys tell me if the Hordes of Chaos mod is any good and if it works with V1.13? I read a bit about it and it seemed really interesting, but when I downloaded it and followed the instructions, it didn't work. Oh, if I do get the ES mod working, am I going to have to restart my character? Right now I'm a 23 Barbarian in Act II getting ready to start the Palace quest and I would REALLY rather not start over since the Median XL mod deleted my level 27 Amazon when I downloaded it. Please be nice, I know I'm a noob, but forums are supposed to be nice places and you don't have to trash on me just because I don't know anything like some of the other forums do.

Don't fool yourself. No one here plays ES anymore. They talk like they do. But they really don't.

Agreed. I still play single player. But I've given up on trying to join up with others.

Ya know..I REALLY tried to like ES...I just couldn't do it.

It's pretty much exactly the same as vanilla LoD. Just with a greater variety of monsters and loot with a bit of skill tweakin' to boot!

I'm saying if you actually like like playing vanilla, it's hard to imagine not enjoying ES as well. There's nothing dramatically different about them.

Let me ask you this, does your Hamachi group have any of those lame assholes that are on Hamachi but are only there to idle? So you think there's someone online to play with but instead it's really someone who just leaves Hamachi on all day and waits for others to mention their name?

Yeah I had a group going once and gradually I just had to start booting people as they eventually went completely idle. I'd consider joining your game though. My problem right now is that I've got Windows 7 on this machine now and I've got some kinks to work out with that whole compatibility thing. It's not even the black bars on the side that bothers me but now the game is all laggy.

Are you using 32 or 64 bit?

We still play on Monday's and Thursdays. I never see you on Siay, as for not responding to hamachi messages, for those of us that don't play windowed, the only way to notice if you have received a message is to stop playing and switch out of game to check, because there are no beeps etc. to let you know you have a message. lol You never were much on patience.

@ Priest - I will PM you with my group. Most are pretty friendly and are in my clan BoD - feel free to check us out, (we play LoD and SC2) there are a few that joined from here that are never on - may boot them, there are a few that are on other games. Most will reply if you message them. Our main days are Monday's and Thursdays but some are on more often.

Bah - when I'm playing I'm playing, no alt-tabbing. I leave a message on ham saying I'm in game (or list someone else's name if they are hosting) and what level we are at - feel free to join.

Mondays: I believe we are in NM A5. around level 65-70ish
Thursdays: whatever we decided day - lately its been finished Hell chars

ALL: If you need anything let me know - I am a pack rat - I keep everything. I have at least 1 of every full set for all chars (except the Cow King only have boots) and a shit load of uniques and some rares. My mule has around 400-500 pages (with blank pages inbetween). I don't mind sharing my stuff - it's just sitting in my stash anyway. lol

One thing we have discovered on hamachi - we have had a lot of problems with crashing when people exit games - but we have found a fix for it. So when you play with us PLEASE DO THE FOLLOWING IF YOU ARE LEAVING THE GAME:

Instead of exiting out of the game - exit out of hamachi instead and just log back in; that way the game doesn't crash and nobody loses their drops or any exp. - exit hamachi not the game.

I have not played for some time but I believe I will be since I do have an ES project to work on (to fix es for mac players)

Monday is new characters (just got Cain) and Thursdays is A2 NM I believe. Mondays game is only using what you find in game (nothing from SS) and Thursday is a free-for-all gear wise.

I'm confused about the Dragon Stone as well. I believe it is a Horadric cube recipe component.

Dragon Stones:

Dragon Stones are used in many recipes including crafting gears geared to a character class. Dragon Stones would have to be converted to the correct class for the recipe to work.

Another common use for Dragon Stones is to add enhancements to magic or better items. Please note that the item will have a higher level requirement to use. They can be lowered with a very expensive recipe. It is suggested to not to use the d-stoning enhancements until you have your end gear.

Within the next 2 weeks I will make available all of the updates I have completed to that date. It's unlikely it will be even half done, but it will give me more people to help report bugs, inaccuracies, missing changes, or things that are simply broken.

My plan is to complete the Amazon and Sorceress (along with a decent portion of the item updates) for this first release, and have set a target date (for myself) of March 18.
