Monsters that suck butt because blizzard wanted them to (also known as a bug ;):
venom vipers
the poison spears they shoot are bugged, normaly it should hit you once and poison you. do to a collision calculation mistake that blizz made, every time you tread in these poison clouds, your life will be deducted as if you were in a continuos barrage of these spears
Venom Vipers poison cloud/bone spear is supposed to act like a zon's poison jav. If you have never tried that skill, when monsters are in constant area of the poison jav's poison trail...they take numberous damages. good bug to work both sides though

If you ever meet a hafling and a hungry dragon you dont have to outrun the dragon, you only have to outrun the hafling.
you forgot to add possibly the most annoying of them all, yet least known. these are all annoying, but they are simple with my hammerdin. not much can kill my hammerdin. heck, i can even survive quite a bit when i help someone keep minions at bay during ubers.
the monsters i hate the most, whose poison damage make my life drop like if i was lvl 4 are the serpents from act 5. not the ones in the throne room either, the ones from halls of vaught. take a tour there and you will find them. they kill my merc faster than iron maiden does and i usually have to watch out or they kill me too. i teleport right onto nihl, kill him, examine if key dropped, and exit game. in all, a run like that takes under a minute. but those damn snakes make it just that much harder to get to nihl, or to pick up a rare key after killing him.
I say the one monster that gets on most melee characters bad side is the Oblivion Mages (Curse mages) Iron Maiden has claimed my life more than any of the monsters put together....I think one time i died 5 times in a single chaos run...That was because i was the only high level character there. I have a zealot/smiter and it just bugs me every time i loose 1/4 experience at a time.

Yes, I understand why they put in the experience penalty, but to die from the same place over and over, it feels pointless.
On a side note, worst thing I ever met in a mod was Diablo. In the mod, he had extra mods, and he spawned with Multiple Shot. He didn't do any damage, but everytime he used Firestorm, the whole game lagged to death for a minute.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.

no doubt about the lag from firestorm. I was in one game were 6 pally's had firestorms going off every few seconds...talk about lag!

? i am sure you know that mods dont work on closed Bnet (open sometimes). im sure that it wasnt lagging, but the pc was just stocking. little differences, lag is due to slow connection, stocking due to pc performance ;).
the absolute highlight was one of the times i meet big d in the original d1. it sucks having a noob char and poor skills, but i was checking how fast i could beat the game by myself
Thank you for that remark Ferret, but who said I wasn't playing TCP/IP?
Alright, I confess, it was SP, but you get what I mean anyway.

fucking undead rat dolls and damn fetishs jumping out of trees, i thought the damn jumpers in act 2 were annoying damn these little shits take the cake.
undead knights are pretty bad too, with their curses and that potion stealing guy whatzhizface lord de "im gonna steal you potions now" (sometimes the finger mage unique guy has potion steal too)
what? burning souls? they're are hard/annoying?

lol I think swarms are actually pretty fun to kill. With my summon necro...I like reviving them and get about 12-15 of them attacking other monsters. I sit back and smile..."the Locus are coming!"lol

The electric ghosts My lord. The ones that disappear and reappear and they always seem to horde around each other for massive lightning damage.
i know what they are. i meant are they that hard or annoying? i never seem to have much trouble with them.

the burning souls are also many with izual. but yea, those are pretty easy. my pally can kill anything, but its those damn snakes at the hall of vaught that give me the most trouble. second are the fetish. third is iron maideners in chaos because every single time my merc dies, even in norm or nightmare. the rest are ok and i dont have too much trouble.
hmmm...that's funny....my WarGod zmiter usually only stays poisoned for about 2 seconds. After 2 seconds I am not poisoned anymore...must be the vitamins I have been eating ^^

I dont have any reduce poison length items I think it is the vitamins...just kiddin...Well my hell resistances are maxed out 80/80/75/75...so maybe that is the reason why I dont stay poisoned for long. ^^ anyways...I have a new monster to hate now 8) For my zmiter...those flying feathery wenches in baal's throne room and the frozen river. They are fast...immune to physical ( i have vengence but my attack is not quick enough ) and they lower my resistances so the other monsters kill me quicker...and since i survive by leaching life every hit...When i am targeting them...i dont regain life and die when they surround me.
But that will all change when i chaos run the crap out of my hammerdin at lvl 5. He will be level 85 by tonite. ^^

I didn't exactly get what an Oblivion Knight, was, though. I suppose they didn't trouble me, then...
