o.O Question though, what's so special about Corpse explosion? I tried using it once and, I don't know...
Corpse explosion is really a mixed bag. It's weakness is that you obviously need corpses for it to work. Second, you can rarely kill anything with a single corpse explosion, you can't upgrade its damage but only its radius. The payoff however is when there are a few dead bodies near several live ones. Quickly blowing up some bodies can kill off an entire horde of minions very rapidly. If I was a Necro, I wouldn't invest too much in Corpse Explosion. But if I was an Assassin, and I am, I would build my Traps just to get the Death Sentry which actually works a lot more efficiently than Corpse Explosion. Mostly just cause it's automatic, but it allows you to quickly be detonating corpses while you switch back to your other attack.
You're a Trapsin right Ferret? Most Trapsins I see have a Knout or something with a gnarly rune word, a rune word shield, and a shako, but I'm not sure exactly which rune words they are using.

Hmm, for Spirit, obviously those runes won't be hard to get. But how hard is it to come across a four socket shield. And what's the minimum kind of shield you want to socket?
u use the soccet quest and it automatically puts 4 soccets into it.

next time i make a summinor in hc ill show u what CE can do in hell difficulty with huge mobs....
ur skelies drop stuff fast enough with might and fanta not to mention Amp
as soon as first one drops u CE him...with CE maxed u can cover half the d2 screen with the blast, with plus skills u can cover then entire screen with the blast. say monster has 500 life and all surrounding monsters have 500 life (same type) one blast at 50-100% dmg of corpse life is a huge blow
for an exp we will take avg and say 500 life at 75% of life blasted out as dmg thats a 3/4th blow to all the other badies life! All of them!. And with ur close to 50 summins still pumpin away croepse are dropping everywhere. so but usually by the 2nd-3rd corpse everything is dead
because min dmg is 50%, which means it will take no more then 2 ce blast to drop an entire fleet of baddies on ur screen.
Hell chaos with my build and enigma u can literally own everything quick.
basicly ur skelies already have might from merc and ur mercs got pride runeword
so all u do is amp badies(1 pt to amp) gets huge radius from plus skills) and Ce
everything dies quick

Yes amp lowers physical immunities by 100%. but cant strip an actual physical immune monster, which is where revives come in and Corpse explosion, since it deals not all physical dmg.
also by turning beast into iron golem only adds 2 k dmg per skely per swing
and they already do 10 k each which is enough to kill most in 1-2 hits, mix in a CE blast an nothign survives a single hit
Here is my final dilemma then with my character. And I could really use someone's help with this. I've had the complete Nat's set for a long time now. For the most part, it's served me quite well. But I know Nat's set is not the greatest set of items. The big problem though is that I am not a Trapsin, I'm a Martial Arts/Shadowsin. So when it comes to those specific skills, I have not been able to find items that are conducive to such a build except for Nat's set. So my question is, are there far superior items that an Assassin can use and still keep her claw class weapons? If I could become more powerful in terms of items, but still hang on to my claw abilities, since that's my primary attack, I would gladly ditch the rest of my Nat's gear. But I don't think many people have ever tried to build my type of character and so it's hard to get advice on how to upgrade my gear cause most people recommend stuff that's only really helpful to Trapsins. Any advice would be helpful. And come on fellas, you could be breaking new ground here in terms of character building, so I need help.
Right, it seems like Regenerating Health is never wise to invest in anyway, cause if you're in a jam, you're in a jam and that's not something that's going to keep you alive.
I did just unsocket my armor however, and it seems like the Pul, having around 450 added to defense is pretty good. But you say that won't make much difference in Hell?
As for Ber, I'll try and get a Ber rune cause that sounds pretty decent. I don't use Fade however cause I prefer to go faster with Burst of Speed and my res is maxed out anyway.
I once had a Lamprey ring that was 8% leech. I don't think they go any higher than that though. I wish you could socket armor with items to make your leeching higher. But skulls only add to regeneration rates unfortunately, unless in a weapon.
I do have that perfect skull in my Jade Talon. I can't imagine anything else will make me leech higher than that.

As I explained to Ferret, I stay alive by having a high attack rating and a high life steal. I can be almost dead and just hit a monster three times and my life is almost instantly full. I'd like to claim it's a unique survival strategy for Martial/Shadow Sins that I came up with.

The one biggest problem I got with your setup though, is that I was -never- wealthy on D2. I mean I've had one Enigma in my Diablo 2 carrier, 2 CoH's.
Now if you had a cheaper version that, say, did 5 or 6k, that would still be good for me. I mean I'd probably piss myself if I was rich enough to just toss a beast on the ground for a iron golem, I ususually just bought 2 or 3 normal daggers when I did use iron golems.

A guy hits you and does 100 damage. That means 85 of the damage he did will be taken out of your health, while 15 of that damage will be taken out of your mana.
Though if you have less then 15 mana, like say 12, then the 3 that didnt get taken out of mana will be taken out of health.
Or did I just confuse you farther?...
