This is my 1st season ever to play Diablo 3. I need some help with my game. I want to solo GR like everyone else. The best that I've done is level 35. I have troubles after that. I just want a clan that is willing to help me become a better player. My GT is wickedout#1132. My paragon is like 569! Yes I have put some hours into this game. If you'd like to help me out please feel free to add me to your friends list. Thank you in advance. Looking forward to becoming a good player. Just need a good teacher to show me the ropes. Thanks again.
With that many hours into the game, you should have some pretty decent gear or at least some in your stash. I'd recommend looking up guides so you can see what sets to use. Even with bad gear but at least with a complete set you should be able to clear higher GR's than 35 solo.
Because if you don't know how to play that build and just use whatever gear, a group can only take you so far.
That's what I'm doing is learning how everything works. It's complex compared to other games I've played but it will pay off. Thank you for the advice.

I like to use this site. He goes into depth on how to play each build.
