My significant otter lost her Demon Hunter (91h) and in short order her newly created 70 Wizards this weekend. She has to work the whole week now and I had the idea of levelling two wizards and two demon hunters as a surprise for her.
Until yesterday we levelled in a two-man game through rifting, which would leave me to levelling solo on her account. Not really what I prefer, grouping would be the way I want to go. I have no buddies who would help me in this endeavour, so here's the question:
How, where, how long?
Are there power levelling hardcore communities or something like that? We play EU. Or are there other quick methods for achieving this goal?
I started my new crusader yesterday and what i did was using a kind of rifting it forward thing.
i leveled to 15 which is where a crusader can craft a 2handed flail with a socket, not possible to that point. that socket was filled with a royal ruby and my dps jumped up to about 700 which is way overpowered for that level. otherclasses can craft weapons with sockets at lvl 16 i think. OP crusader indeed.
i then tuned it to adventure mode T1 (my preference, i think with paragons put into vitality you can easily go up to T3) and still oneshot everything.
i did some A1 bounties and joined RiF games for the XP, i didnt go down to the guardian to loot. he would kill you with a glance at every given difficulty. T2 rifts XP scales down to your level but it still gave me 1.5 levels per closed rift. i started that at around lvl 23 and after 3 hours playtime (including solo leveling) i hit level 50.
i dont know if thats considered powerleveling but with the recent nerfs to other powerlevel spots its one of the faster ways to get higher. ill drop in again this evening after i hit level 70 to report on what time it took to reach it.
PS.: you should turn down difficulty to master in the early 60s,i.e. 61-62 cause effectiveness of ruby sockets drop drastically
