After my level 58 Barb Shinigami died, which was without a doubt pretty stacked for his level.
I was playing MP2 and it was me and Belial on Hell with both of us at 5% health, the floor below me was infinitely covered in bombs, and not to mention that it was the first turn with the bombs on the floor, to be honest, it was complete bullshit.
I'm looking for faster leveling tips so that the grind up past 40 isn't so relentless and I can fianlly equip the level 60 gear I've been sniping from the AH.
Oh man, that sucks :( losing a character that close to 60.
You lost it the manly way at least, fighting with a badass boss not via a crappy DC.
Unless you're upgrading every 2-3 levels via the AH, I wouldn't really play above MP 1 - unless you've got a 1k dmg weapon useable at lvl 46-48). Getting a Ruby into a weapon as soon as you reach lvl 15 is a must, the damage increase is insane. For Hell, gear with high All Res (70-80) is your best bet to survive (ilvl 63 with reduced lvl req).
As far as leveling goes, using Cain's Set (from lvl 23 onwards) and a Star Ruby in the helm should suffice and you should always be ahead of the difficulty in terms of lvls (can get to 60 in the middle of Act 3). Depends on how much of the maps you're clearing, really.
If you don't mind getting powerleveled, I can help you and you can reach lvl 60 in roughly 2 hours 30 mins. Or you can stop midway if you wanna do Hell on your own. I might be powerleveling some people tonight (I do it whenever I can), so feel free to add me (Nomad#1741) - if I don't answer the in-game messages, it's because I'm currently busy and not even checking the game screen.
Vaizard, I mistook you for one of Brobben's stream viewers. That's why you had no idea what I was talking about when I mentioned him. Since I get some people to powerlevel from that stream, I thought you were one of them.
By the way, you should really join the community there, man (twitch.tv/brobben123). They have a raidcall and people always ready to help you gear up and farm on hardcore (much better/safer to farm in a team than solo)
OK so I signed up and hit follow, what else should I do
It's up to you, but if you have some free time I would watch his stream. Last week he and Ravenknot (another top notch Hardcore streamer) gave away 2.5 billion hardcore gold in one day. Lots of people won a nice amount of gold. It's a great way for hardcore newbies (like me) to be able to gear up, finish Inferno and be safe on MP1.
When I have some time to play, I usually either leave his stream on one window and the game on the other (2 monitors) or on the background with the volume slightly reduced.
Also, you can either leave a message on RaidCall or on the Stream's chat saying you're looking for a group to farm MP 1-10. I haven't had much trouble finding people to play with
