Played fine on med-low settings at what ever the 16:9 resolution is... Except the "Four skeleton pillars" part, and a handful of other places occasionally, where my fps would tank... Very low...
I surpass the min specs, and the only thing that falls short of the recc specs is my graphics card. Shouldn't I expect to play the game atleast on low (with low res) without being crippled by super low fps at certain times? I mean, all I'm asking for is a constant 30 fps... I play mostly on consoles lately, so I'm used to it.
I guess what I'm asking is, shouldn't min specs equate to ATLEAST 30fps on low settings?
When things get busy (like the four pillars thing or any cooperative game), a system that's close to the minimum requirements will struggle.
Most systems are GPU-limited, so lowering the resolution will help. Upgrading the GPU (or, in the case of an integrated graphics setup like yours, adding a discrete GPU) will improve performance and allow you to raise the quality levels.
He's got a laptop, while you can add a graphics card it is very hard to do. Best option for him would be to turn down the resolution, but then it will look like shit.
Thanks for the replies. As Ryude mentioned, I am using my laptop.
All things considered, It can't really get worse the the pillars event, right? I mean the screen was pretty much full of enemies. It shouldn't get much more "enemy condensed" than that, right?
I'm just hoping the retail release has a lot more optimization.
Additionally, is it right to advertise min specs that are virtually unplayable at times, but ok the majority at times? If I had a slightly worse setup, and didn't get to try the beta, I'd be pretty upset if I was told the game worked on my system, but in reality "worked" only meant it launches the client...

Minimum system requirements means does the hardware actually support the game, will it even run the program at all. It does not mean you will be able to enjoy the gameplay, just that you'll be able to run it.
Recommended on the other hand, means you'll be able to play the game at an acceptable level of detail and performance.

Any insight would be helpful, thanks!
