So, I need to build my new computer before May 15th (for obvious reasons). I read online that some Ivy Bridge processors may hit market by April 29th. If I wait to order my computer parts until then, do you believe that I will be able to get the computer in ready-to-play shape before May 15th? Keep in mind this is my first full build, so it will probably take more time than some of you guys, since I have to learn as I go. Also consider that it will take maybe a week to arrive at my place.
Time cut so close!

Playing a Wizard. Looking for Demon Hunters to play with.
Assuming you're not missing any parts, you can get it done in a few hours even if it's your first time. Just go slow. And remember, if it doesn't fit, it doesn't go there
The biggest risk to your schedule is Ivy Brdige. Supposedly April 29 will be launch day... but when will the CPUs actually be available for order?
We shall see. I'm waiting for Ivy Bridge, too... might need overnight shipping
Also going to replace my "old" socket 775 quad core by an Ivy bridge !
I'm not that computer savvy but i've done some research and apparently you'll really get better performances for the same bucks compared with some i5-2500k (which is probably the best performance/price for gaming you can get these days), so yeah, really worth it even if you had to miss a few days of D3. You don't change your MOBO/CPU so often
From what I'm seeing Ivybridge isn't really worth it compared to Sandybridge. If you can still wait, I'd probably wait for the Ivy to come out and then get a discounted 2500k or 2600k depending on if you want an i5 or i7.
This is of course that you plan OCing. Reports are coming out that the heat from the IB is through the roof when you try to OC it. If you aren't then IB is probably just fine and dandy
