I was wondering what is your internet speed and how much it cost, cause I saw in another topic one from US complaining about a limit on download per month. Rly?!
I am from Slovenia EU - 100Mbps/10Mbps for 25€/month
in california, i get 30/5 for $70 in us dollars. I know that this is considered pretty fast for non fiber rates. Europe's ISP are so much faster for so much cheaper. People here kinda distrust the ISP's and telcoms as they should because of the obvious cost/speed comparison here. Fios is the fastest in US I think for non business speeds.
Not really representative since I could get a 50 mbps/50 mbps for a similar price if I lived in another part of town. Fiber network is not complete.
Also some of that price is for the out of country bandwidth. Since it's an island you have to pay a bit for use of the intercontinental connection. It's much less than it used to be but I still pay a bit for 40 gig transfer per month to cover misc stuff. Everything within the country is free so there are just local torrent sites and such that spread out all the common downloads to mitigate the problem.
