Now i'm sure 1000 of these have already been made, and I've read various threads on here as well as on Blizzards site as well.
However, with that being said, i'm not the strongest with computer specifications and would like a second opinion if my pc will run d3.
Thanks guys, really appreaciate it.

Not sure if minimum system requirements have been released yet, it will most likely run... but on lowest settings, that laptop looks pretty old my man.
It's actually only 2 years old and still runs very well(just not sure with games yet) I would get a desktop, but due to limited space thats not really an option.
so here's another question. If D3 releases in the next couple of months and I end up installing it on this computer, but end up buying a better computer down the road....I can't transfer my copy of d3 over to my new computer I would have to buy a whole new copy correct?
I don't have deep experience with trash laptop cards, however. From what I can see, its performance is worse than 7 years old video cards.
Its unlikely to run it at all. I would never have anyone buy a laptop with such a card even if they only browse the internet and play flash games.
well to be honest with you, I didn't buy this computer for gaming at all, more for college. It's done everything I've wanted it to do and more, but now that i'm thinking about gaming on it I was curious if I could get by with this one.
I think you're going to struggle to run it, to be perfectly honest. But the best advice I've seen here is trying out SC2. SC2 is similar in graphical quality, and SC2 is quite a bit more processor intensive, so if you can run SC2, you'll be able to run D3, though with graphics turned down on that set up.

Thanks man, i'll try sc2 out and let you guys know how it works. In the event that I do need a new computer, I'm looking for something thats a good all around PC(laptop preferably) and can play a game like D3 on decent quality settings and on a regular basis. Nothing too crazy/expensive. Anyone have any suggestions?

what blizz means by "recommended" they actually mean playable. if you have the "minimum" system requirements you wont be able to play even on absolute lowest settings without major lag. you can very easily buy a desktop PC for less then $600 that is double the recommended settings for D3 if you build it yourself from newegg.com.

Yeah. I've played on machines well below recommended for WoW and the like and the game played fine on low settings.
/disagree
ive played machines that had spec above minimum WoW and SC2 settings and wouldnt play without lag even on absolute minimum settings. maybe other variables were involved but honestly your not safe with minimums or even recommended, a little cushion always helps and any game on absolute lowest settings looks like dog sh*t, so... yea spend a few bucks so your not looking at square blocks

But yeah, 100% agree its going to look like crap, wither it works or not. But yeah I have a few peps that have below minimum and it works rather well (well... rather well for what it is, HORRIBLE looking, but plays at a solid 20-30 fps) which is not that bad tbh. (resolution can play a big deal in it.. notice the "resolution" they are using for it =P
The link I listed has some laptops for about ~$600 that should be able to play it at about mid mid-high. Someone in the thread confirmed skyrim at close to high.
But thats if your 100% set on the laptop. Desktop will get your a lot more bang for you buck.
But regardless trying SC2 is still agood idea, if you are not able to even play that, then you can rule out d3, if you can play it, and you think it plays ok, then you might have hope.
