I'm looking at getting one of three laptops for gaming, among them are:
XPS17:
Processor 2nd generation Intel® Core™ i5-2430M processor 2.40 GHz with Turbo Boost 2.0 up to 3.00 GHz
Operating System Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium, 64-Bit, English

Optical Drive 8X Tray Load CD/DVD Burner (Dual Layer DVD+/-R Drive)
Video Card NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 550M 1GB graphics with Optimus

Weight 7.57 lbs
Alienware M11x
Processor Intel® Core™ i5 2467M 1.6GHz (2.3GHz w/Turbo Boost, 3MB Cache)
Operating System Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium, 64bit, English

Between these two, honestly I don't know why I wouldn't go with the XPS17, it's even 100$ cheaper. If there's something in the specs that I'm missing about why I should choose the Alienware over the XPS17 someone please tell me. Besides the fact that Alienware is more portable than the XPS.
Then there's the
Sager NP5175

It's between the XPS17 and the Sager. Based on the prices and the specs you gave me, I'd say the Sager is a better deal. They make great quality laptops (from what I've read, never owned one).

Sager gets my vote.
My one question is where you are getting the Sager and what kind of warranty do they provide?
