Slightly concerned that the beta profile isn't showing my system specs accurately.
I'm currently running 2x ATI HD 5770's both @ 1gb a piece. The Beta Profile Settings page has only registered 728mbs? I've tried running the beta opt-in application several times and have not seen the number change. I'm 95% positive my cross-fire is enabled and running correctly.
Another point about Graphics memory and Crossfire, you will only ever get to use the lowest amount of memory on one card. Two 1GB DDR cards does not equal 2GB memory since the data has to be copied on each card for them to be able to process it.
That said the 728mb with 1GB cards is indeed a bug.

does the part where you say "you will only ever get to use the lowest amount of memory on one card." mean I'll NEVER take advantage of having two GPU's in my system?

Of course not! Was just clearing out that you will not take advantage of double DDR. You will still get additional performance with two cards, but the DDR is limited to what the lowest card in the setup has.
I'm still slightly confused to as what you mean. Maybe its cause I havent slept in 36 hours. lol. I'll have to look into it a bit after I crash for a few hours. Thanks for the information though!
He's saying that you don't have 2GB of video memory, it's still only acting as 1GB because both GPUs have to store similar information to process the one image being put on your screen or they're each rendering every other frame, so 1GB could only be used to process each frame.

Is there something I'm missing here?
~700 mgs is what shows up in these cases,

Exactly. Sorry if I was unclear
Sleep deprivation does weird stuff to your brain... which reminds me to go to bed. 3.40am the night before new years eve..?! I'm so stupid
