Today I want to give you guys my educated prediction on why I believe we won't see patch 2.1.2 or season 2 until February of 2015, based on a couple official posts. This is something that's coming up a lot now, and if you connect the dots, you'll see the correlation between season 1 ending, the patch coming to consoles at the same time, and Blizzard checking out for the rest of the year. Enjoy and happy holidays!
Also MHM just another topic i would love to hear about:
Blizz said that the rarest items will be less rare by 2.5x rate.
As far as ive heared they also said that the rarest item is 4 times more rare than a common legendary.
So after this buff, how rare e.g. a furnace going to be? Its going to be like a Maxims or an SoJ?
or what can we expect from this change?
Thanks
according to what i understand, 2.5 is a multiplier... for instance, among all the legendary hand xbows, there is a 1.5% (approx) chance that it's a calamity. so, with the buff, the new chances to roll calamity should be equal to 1.5%x2.5 this is, 3.75%.
Some things I think your right about and others I think your wrong about. Main thing I think you are wrong about is them giving us new content. There are tons of free to play games out there just as good with no shops to buy stuff from that get content updates every month or so. And if you read the forums for those games, nearly no bitching or complaining like the d3 community does. We deserve a good game and its basically been garbage sine it first came out. I read something about a month ago stating that D2 has just as many players as D3 does. Does this make any sense? It's sad that D3 is a newer game but D2 has the better team?

It's pretty simple. If a legendary dropping has a 1% chance of being a Furnace, it will now have a 2.5% chance to be a furnace. It will still be rare, just not AS rare, likely because a good Ancient Furnace will be nearly impossible to find, so a bunch of 'regular' Furnaces will drop to at least make the Ancient version possible. If it was 1% to begin with, you'd be looking at 2.5% chance for it to be a Furnace. Then, a 1/10 chance for it to be Ancient, so 0.25%. Then, from my experience 1/5 chance at least for it to be usable, so 0.05% chance per legendary drop for it to be a usable Furnace. This is just an example, I don't have the drop percentages memorized by heart. That said, it'll still be more rare than a Maximus or SoJ.

Please name some of these POPULAR free to play games that don't have any micro transactions.
Think about it logically. If you were a game designer, spending countless hours creating a FREE game, how would you earn money to pay for food?
I disagree whole heartedly on the micro transactions. I absolutely hate games with Micro. I'm not paying to win.
Video Game industry has more money than the movie industry. Please do not spread this message of micro transactions. I personally think they are ruining video games. It wasn't that long ago where they had cartridges (which costed more money then CD) and released a FULL game. A game where they didn't have to patch or this or that. Because it was released finished. Now, companies are more then happy to release unfinished games, patch it up, and nickel and dime you for everything along the way.
It feels like it takes a year or two, if not more, for a game to finally feel finished. This is BS. This wasn't like this all the time. It saddens me the consumer lets these companies get away with it.
Please stop spreading your message of MicroTransactions. It does not help us, the consumer, at all.
And Blizzard is rich as is. They don't need Micro transactions

I think you misunderstand the concept of a properly designed micro game. Micro games are NOT pay to win, they are either 'pay to customize' or 'pay to accelerate', but a well built micro game allows you to acquire anything via in-game resource that is considered performance-enhancing as you could with real money, it's just that real money is faster.
Why do you think Hearthstone is so successful? Do you think Blizzard just decided to spend hundreds of thousands (millions?) of dollars of developer time just to make a free to play game with absolutely 0 return? Come on now.
I've talked about this many times before, the kind of micro D3 sorely needs is quality of life/visual micro, just like any other game. Transmogs, extra stash tabs you can buy, etc.
As for the history of D3, there was a changing of the guard. It's unfortunate, but even though the concept of the auction house was sound (it's still great in WoW), the resource gathering speed in D3 is a lot faster and nothing was BoA/BoE, so it became a progression shortcut.
I don't get what 'consumers' are so mad about. If you don't like the game, don't buy it and don't play it.
By calling me a noob hater you are calling MeatHeadMikhail a noob. I don't think he is a noob but I do think he posts videos that have very little relevant content in for members or guests that visit this site frequently.
Also I burnt 2 calories for typing my first post and 4 more for this post as its longer, so I am getting some exercise by doing so
He didn't call you a "noob-hater," he called you a "noob hater." The difference is that the first one means that you hate noobs while the second one means that you are a noob that hates.

I have to disagree. I shouldn't have to pay a Multi Bill company to update their game. They don't need my money. They have enough. Why should I pay them to update a game that was so severely flawed? This is something I just don't get. I have to pay them to fix the game that was released broken? Why?
^ And this is what I don't understand. The game did not come with any guarantee, written anywhere, of future content or updates or anything of the sort. The game was released a certain way and if you didn't like that, you shouldn't have bought it. In the future, you can wait for reviews or gameplay videos or whatever else to make an educated decision on whether you want to buy a game, but feeling entitled to free content - which is exactly what a lot of players expect - is just silly. I'm sure they'll continue to feel that way and complain, but that's not how you institute change.

An exquisite and laser focused back and forth between you two. Micro-transaction games, at least the "properly" designed ones, indeed use the micro transactions to "accelerate" victory. It's an optimum line to lay upon. Hearthstone is a shining example of this. All the cards can be slowly gained over time, or more quickly gained by spending cute little piles of money. If Diablo 3 included a big ol' cash shop that offered a truck load of cosmetic features that you had the option of purchasing....well that would just be amazing. it would eliminate that stance people take about how "D3 owes nothing to anyone", by injecting money into the game which ideally would be used to improve things even further.
Role-playing games are not carved into existence based on guarantees. They are created by a pretty deep seated passion for excellence. The whole "don't like don't buy it stance", it's a rather cold and soulless way of looking at the bigger picture, and in doing so you risk never understanding peoples' disappointment; I understand that disappointment fully.
The problem is, those in charge do not seem to understand.......
If the developers take that position of "we made the game, if you don't like it, don't buy it........" It's the quality of the GAME that suffers in the end.
In agreement with @Spitdog as well as a rising question of whether MHM just uses this forum + the official forums in order to generate links to his videos without wanting to actually discuss anything (since the little text posted in all his threads next to the link is NEVER more than the exact same generic text copied from his video descriptions), I decided to use the power of le meme:
Worst. Meme. Ever. Aside from the grammar issues, it makes little sense.
MHM is a good member here, and always engages in discussion about his threads. Of course he's self-promoting, but he's not just posting and running. He has much to say, though I've disagreed with him before, there's nothing I can see wrong with the approach he takes. His vids are among the few I'll actually bother to watch.

But they did promise PvP. And they did promise they will always update the game. This can be found by blue post before D3v launched. PvP was on the box art.
And for the record, I have absolutely zero problem with you making videos. Do you my friend. Just be careful of what ideas you throw out. Opinions are great to make the game better and all. I just strongly disagreewith your opinion on micro transactions.

Yes, they did ... before the game was even released. Lots of companies promise things before game release that never happen. Not only that, but D3 is an outlier - there was a significant changing of the guard and a completely overhaul of the game's core leading up to 2.0/RoS. I've played the game nearly non-stop since beta, through all of the changes (Inferno/MP-Paragon/Torment), and honestly I feel Blizz deserves a break. Yea they messed up a lot of things, but they also tried a lot of things, some of which didn't work. That's the concept behind being a pioneer.
As for micro, of course it 'accelerates' progress to some extent, but it's not exclusive with grinding the game otherwise. It's no different from anything else in real life. If you have money, you can pay to accelerate. However, in a game like HotS, once you have the hero you want to play, no amount of real money will help you in anything, and unlocking the hero you want as your main can be done in ~20 hours of playtime for the most expensive ones. That's hardly 'pay to accelerate' or 'pay to win'. That said, I would gladly pay for extra stash tabs and maybe even a transmog if it looked cool enough.
Apparently the team have been been working for months to get to the point where they can release the console patch along with the PC at the same time .
So now we finally know what the delay is , feckin' consoles ............

Not sure why people still complain about micro in games like this.
