Hi
I just started playing Diablo about a week ago; I've just beaten all 5 acts, and my Barbarian is currently level 54. I have a few questions
• When starting a new character, what is the fastest way to get it level 70? I watched plenty of videos, but I'm still unsure. I should T6, then at lv21 I insert socket, I get main stats - vit - exp, focus on gps? But as for exp, where is the best place to grind/level up, bounties?
• What's the best way to get good legendaries at level 70, Rifts? Also, how do you farm for a specific gear?
• Do I need to save my blood shards/Rift keys? How does that whole system work (bounties/rifts)
• Is farming bosses a viable option?
1 - Fastest way is powerleveling, get a friend to help, you start a game on T6 and invite your friend, and do bounties, its crazy the first few enemies he kills youll be up to level 4 in a second. If you want to level fast in solo, then straight bounties on a difficulty you can clear with ease is the best. You may think that going to T6 asap is fast, but when your sitting there for 30 minutes trying to kill one elite you realise that its not even if that one elite gives lots of exp.
2. From statistics youll get the most legendarys from these greater rifts> rifts >bounties. while greater rifts give more legs they lack in giving you lots of EXP and resources (money, crafting materials ect) Normal rifts are a good balance of legendarys and resources. As for specific gear, the only thing closest to it in Diablo 3 is Kadala and Bloodshards, you earn bloodshards from rifts and greater rifts (higher difficulty gives you more bloodshards at the end of the rift)
3. You use those bloodshards on a NPC in town called kadala, you buy items from her with a chance of legendary, you can pick what slot you want to buy (eg: Chest Armor, 1H Weapon, 2H Weapon, boots) I usually save around 300-400 then go buy from kadala, i dont find getting finishing a rift and using the low ammount of shards you get on her to get like 2 or 3 items rewarding. As for rift keys yeah just keep them, you need 1 to get into rifts, theres no point selling them or dropping them
4. No not really, unforchantly bosses serve no purpose to kill except for in bounties, achievement hunting, or just if you feel like killing them. Some of them used to drop crafting materials for items but they have been removed from the game, so no point killing bosses now.
So if I wanted to level solo, I should do bounties, then re-do campaign?
How could I make my new character better, apart from placing socket at lv21, getting exp % set, placing paragon points?
Alright
& How do bounties work, is there a limit amount of bounties per characters? Or do they generate new ones randomly?
If I do bounties with my lvl70, can I still do some on my new character?
There are 5 bounties to complete per act, and if completed you get a bonus umm bonus for all 5.
Now the 5 per act are randomly shuffled from a larger pool per act so it changes up some.
And if you do all 5 you get a CACHE from Tyreal with a few goodies and a shot at a legendary as well.
EDIT: This is a repeatable process, simply use the map to go to another act OR start a new game and do the same act over again.
Anyways there are rifts, bounties, and greater rifts.... Here is a link to 2.1 when it was updated. I would think it crosses over from PC to console... I'd think anyways.
Also, once you have strong enough gear, do torment 6 bounties, from act 1, until you acquire a RoRg and then you wont need full sets of items.... It helps immensely. (Keep farming it until you get one with a socket) You will also want your other ring to have a socket, as well as your necklace. Then you can equip 3 legendary gems.(Which drop from greater rift bosses)

This is great advice. However he is on PS3 and they haven't and probably will not release the 2.1 update on his console or xbox360 for that matter. Just a warning: getting the RoRg is a real pain pre 2.1. I think I have done well over 150 Act one bounties and have never seen one drop yet. :/

@laurentiusiv, how do you get hellfire ring/amulet, just random legendary drops from greater rifts?

What? Me worry?
Also, if there's anyone playing on ps3 that wouldn't mind powerlevelling my new character, that'd be very appreciated
