I've been around for a long time on the forums and what not but last night I finally got my first 70 in season 1. It took awhile mainly due to a busy schedule and now that I'm done leveling I started to look at what it felt like to get a character from start to the end in what now is the end game. It was first off a ton of fun. I took a different approach to leveling my seasonal crusader then I did with my normal mode one, knowing what skills there are helped me build a different leveling experience.
Again mileage changes with everyone in seasons, since I'm busy as sin I aimed to just enjoy learning different skills on my crusader and now have a very different build because of it. I kept jumping between story and running bounties, still don't know which one was more fun, but rifts certainly helped with keeping my gear up to date. I was worried at one point that I would get bored being hard set to keep a specific build, but it turned out to work for me as I built of gear that worked for that build.
What really surprised me is how refreshing it was to be broke again, no money made for a very rough go of things. When I first leveled up toons in Vanilla I had the AH, and with that I had a lot of gold, but the gold sink now is really balanced in my opinion. It is nice to not have the 35 million gold I have on my normal mode toons. I was left with choices on what to level up and spend my gold on which turned out to be something that I had missed from the leveling experience since I got my initial wealth.
The future road also looks really interesting, trying to find gear now with the paths left to us, choosing seasonal achievements to pursue as really made the experience of starting over a lot of fun, more so than leveling a new toon since my account is fresh. I just felt like sharing, I know seasons in their own have been a mix of a blessing and curse to some but felt like sharing my casual experience of the game. Now back to your regularly scheduled forum.
