So, your surprised that when competing for world firsts people aren't using 100% legit means?
When all the world firsts are soaked up, people have got over there "fresh start" and they realize playing season is no different to non-season (bar a few season-only legs) they will all just go back to non-season because they have more paragon/gear there.
I mean seriously, give me one reason to play season after the first week when your paragon ~100 and have badly rolled versions of your sets. Competition on ladder? I would rather do it on non-season because at-least there my gear isn't miles behind people they are playing 12hrs a day.
When you are not 100% legit in other sport events. You get disqualified. The people using exploits and whatnot should be banned. Not only from seasons. But the entire game. We dont need them

Define 100% legit. I presume that the top players aren't botting or hacking, so I don't see what is not legit about it. If they are, report them to Blizzard. Finding the most efficient exp route and farming it is just as legit as clearing every single area of the game. In fact, Blizzard is known for endorsing non game-breaking "exploits", such as drone drilling. Just look at the amount of "bugs" and "features" that were implemented in StarCraft 2 from StarCraft 1. Besides, finding the most efficient farming routes is a hell lot more legit then having "injuries" in soccer/football games, and those people have yet to be banned from playing. (sadly)
i started my season toon lvled up to 8 and then i found out i can actually go torment 6 + adventure mod, i instantly went Rquit and got back to my non season toons , a fresh start means you need to do story mode and lvl up to 60 then unlocking adventure mod + torment lvl. i still remeber the 1st HC toon i started from nothing going thru story lines and had fun with unlockingadventure mode + getting better gears from higher diffculties, it was pure fun.
once again blizz, fresh start = you start with nothing
to those D2 lovers ,plzdo not compare D2 with D3 , they are totally different games, D2 is made by god, D3 is made by blizzard employees.
D2 is made by god, D3 is made by blizzard employees.
And those "gods" tried to make Diablo 3 a MMO game, and made Hellgate: London, which is said to revolutionize the ARPG genre and failed even in comparison to Diablo 2. And then they closed the studio they formed without making any more games which shows how successful their visions are and how much they understood their playerbase. So if they have made Diablo 3, you wouldn't even have an ARPG game.
Returning to topic: In my opinion, keeping Adventure mode was a good choice. I have played the story for whole vanillia, and done enough act 5 runs in RoS. Yes, seasons mean a fresh start, and I did started from scratch: level 1, level 1 artisans, basic and empty stash, no gear. What you should look for is the similar rewards for both modes. The problem isn't Adventure mode being available; the problem is, Adventure mode is superior in terms of both experience and items.
Messed up quote was refering to a post about Adventure Mode being superior in XP and Loot.
This isn't the problem imo. If everyone actually had to start fresh in a new season; finding the most efficient way to reach adventure mode would be a legit strategy. The depth a truly fresh start would bring to the leveling experience (along with some other logic adjustments) would make seasons infinitely better imo. Also, I agree that if one wants a legit seasonal experience hardcore is the only way to play. That doesn't change my attitude towards this first seasons of softcore though.
@Hellgate: "EA" on the box tells all there is to say why it sucked,.
I always find this humorous...
If a game sucks it's the publisher/parent companies fault.
If a game is great, it's the devs who did it.
Anyway, anything competing with D2 is competing with 13 years of nostalgia, nothing can beat that.
Obviously I can't prove it, but I honestly suspect a great many of those lamenting D3 to be like D2 never actually played D2. They've just heard or read about it from those viewing it through a thick fog of nostalgia. Many games sound great on on paper or when someone tells you about them, but not so much when you play them.
Now D2 was a good game, and I'm not bashing it...but it was not this mythical bastion of perfection it is portrayed as.
BTW...PoE is OK gameplay wise...but the amount of RNG you deal with in it is orders of magnitude more than D3.
I agree that we should have gone through the campaign at least once. Oh well i'm doing it anyway. The season mechanic is a fail, it doesn't feel like a new start just a bunch of tools hitting 70 in 3 hours and doing exactly what they were doing on standard.
With that said understand even if played the right way, through campaign and then through adventure up to para 200+ there are players that could do that in a very short time anyway.
Even in a superior game like Path of Exile leveling to 85+ through three difficulties and maps all the best guys get there in like 3 days.
PoEs ladders are better because they actually add something new to the game but ultimately neither should be seen as a competition for 99.9% of the playerbase.

The primary difference is that in PoE leveling matters. However, in D3 it isn't as significant because it's not the focus, it's just a means of getting to end game where there are other points of focus. So comparing the two like this doesn't really work.
People are way too focused on the fact that people have already hit level cap for Seasons when leveling in Seasons is just about the most insignificant aspect of them.
We need to give feedback to Blizzard. And that usually means spamming their boards with the same topic/issue until blue poster cares enough to make an appearance and say "noted". I, for one, will not be playing season1, as it seems more of a "let's see what happens" than a fresh start (cause of the aforementioned issues), plus the rewards incentive being too low

Perhaps when the next season comes around there might be some changes?!?! One can only hope

well gods have fallen , i dont give a damn , as you said adventure mode os superior in terms of both experience and items, then there shouldnt be a world 1st achievement popped up in everyone's screen and saying : hey ,look at me ! i abused bounty quests to get this world 1st ,all will bow before me! log in get the quest ,let it finish ,get the exp items and logout then log back in, repeating it 50 times bam ! lvl 70 world 1st !

You make it sound like only one player in the world had access to these high-XP bounties, and got world 1st just for logging in. From reading the tone of your message, someone unfamiliar with the game would have no idea that actually every player in the world could also access those bounties and race for the world 1st.
Someone getting an SMK will be MILES ahead of others due to that instantly making you T6 viable for MUCH faster xp gains.... regardless if it took that player two days to get to 70.

well said ,every player in the world could also access and farm those high xp bounties to race for the world 1st ,hahaha, it islike bodybuildngcompetition competingaround dosage ofsteorid they use everyday. hahahaha sorry ,i cant stop laughing ,i really cant hahahaha

You'd prefer then, I guess, a race that took hundreds of hours of legitimate play, yeah?
So world 1st went to whoever had the best bot, unless they were beaten by whoever had the team of friends ready to share an account and play it 24/7?
Look, I'd prefer to see these sort of XP hoses fixed too. They're just bad game design, and the sort of thing that Blizzard have fixed in the past. But you're just getting hysterical, equating "running the highest XP bounties on a higher difficulty level than you can actually handle" with "bodybuilders using steroids".
You're just making convoluted excuses for people who are cheating. And yes, they are cheating and exploiting no matter how people try to dress it up as some sort of legitimate gameplay.
In fact I would have more respect for them if they just admitted they know it's an exploit and used it anyway. By lying to everyone and trying to pretend it's a valid play style, you're just insulting everyone who knows better.
Of course, I guess the cheaters and exploiters would actually have to admit to themselves what they are, and honestly, I don't think many of them are mature enough for that. (maturity has little to do with age).
i love to play diablo 3 , this game is good , blizz is improving diablo 3 for sure ,but hey blizzard ,can you hot fix these this exp exploits for next season plz ?
It was fucking obvious that this is what will happen.
99% of you didn't stand a chance anyway.
It's a race. People will use all "legal" tools they can put their hands on. That bounty was in the game so people abused it. To call that cheating and to want those people banned is the real immaturity here. Get over it, it was FUCKING OBVIOUS.
