Hi guys, just wondering, what class will you choose to start the first season as soon as it hits when 2.1 goes live, why and will you go solo or in a group?
I'm going to go monk like always. Doesn't matter if they are best or worst with these new updates, because its the only class I play. Hardcore most likely and with my roommates. So if anything it should be interesting.
Also, after seeing Kito's response...Im definitely rolling Monk now.
See leaderboards at seasonal... DH has top tier which is level 40, then WD with tier 38, Wizz & Crusader with tier 36 and finally Monk with tier 35... This could tell something.
Personally i'm in between curs and WD, as they're the class i play the most. Seen i'm to do more soloing than playing in a group I guess I'll stay with the WD
I really want cold quake + perma cota barb to be a thing but it's just too underwhelming right now. I still expect lots of balancing before 2.1 is live but right now I'm leaning toward WD or DH. The pet gem scales way too good currently.
Id probably say a pet wd, not nearly as gear dependant as other classes to excel. No desire to play the seasons. Multiboxers and botters will win just like they have since d2 lod.
Assuming you mean for tiered rifts... then DH. Sentries pump out more damage than WD pets and it's way easier to avoid damage with them... People that are doing it based on gear dependency are nuts, apart from the very few builds that require items with a 0.5 - 1.2% drop chance if you play this game for more than a couple hours a day then you'll likely have your full set for any given build within a week and only be rolling for better versions of item slots within two.
Fact is the way tiered rifts are set up is that everything hits harder and has more health as the level increases meaning that eventually you will get to the point where it is impossible to both have enough damage to clear the rift and be able to take more than 1 - 2 hits... What this means is any build that isn't based around stuff other than yourself doing the damage leaving you able to run around freely on the other end of the map avoiding what little comes your way will never compare to builds which require you to actually be in-combat. It's inferno, but worse! Damn Blizzard are good at learning from past mistakes XD.
I hope next expansion Blizzard just make D3 like D2, re-open trading... spread out loot better so that you can have a complete build for a certain type of character in just mid-tier gear, make insanely OP and fun end-game gear which is really rare to give something further to strive for, create more types of ways to farm therefore adding build diversity and give more freedom to the player, create more player interaction etc. etc.
I am thinking about Crusader more and more, because of how versatile he is, he can build around what he finds, so many good options here, especially with the new set and new shield. But DH is also an option, will go lightning for sure.
Regards, Have fun and may RNG be nice with you.
