The tentative release date is *When it's ready with the right amount of gamebreaking bugs/exploits that were reported on the PTR forums but never actually fixed.
At least, that's what it was for every other PTR. If I had to guess.. sometime in August. Probably the week after the UEE release.
Given the current state of the PTR, I would guess that August might actually be ambitious. I mean it is the middle of July already. August, at best, affords only six more weeks and we've still yet to see any form of testing on ladders on the PTR.
This is, easily, the biggest non-expansion content patch the D3 team has had to develop.

Why people keep saying they have to test ladder first etc? Testing ladder is easy, because they only need to identify errors etc.
Its the balancing, items and class balance revamp that takes time. And new ideas.
Am 100 % sure, they got a deadline like other mention before console release. Its all about money, and they need 2.1 to be out to market it for console.
You are wrong there. As I recall console version will come out with patch 2.0.5 and will be patched to 2.0.6 a day after the release, there has been no mention of 2.1 coming out to consoles anytime soon. My guess for 2.1 release on PC is first half of September.
As usual with Blizzard, we'll know about the release of 2.1 when it starts downloading. Since they have yet to test seasons, I think it'll be a while. Might even be after WoD release.
All this speculation is just time-wasting. I'm grabbing a few paragon levels and mainly waiting for 2.1, because I like the changes, and want to play in 2.1 when it comes. I have other games to play in the meantime. Nice thing about D3; you pay for it once (well, twice counting expansion) and then never again. And you still get patches for it, unlike some game companies.
(This reveals my pet peeve somewhat when people demand 'new content' like an MMO gets. We're not paying every month for it, so, you shouldn't expect that.)
Why people keep saying they have to test ladder first etc?
Because when you have millions of lines of code even the simplest changes can fuck the most-unrelated things up.
For instance, one of the Cataclysm patches in WoW made a boss from BWL (a raid instance implemented 7+ years earlier) not work properly - his adds wouldn't stop spawning.
The more man-hours people get testing these patches the more bugs like that don't make it to live. That's why seasons need to be "tested." There are already some pretty wild bugs on the PTR - double weapon sockets comes to mind. Seasons are just going to add more code to the codebase and increase the chances that weird shit happens on updates. They have to test everything as thoroughly as possible otherwise, when someone "wins" a season because of a bug, people will flock to the forums and lambaste Blizzard for not finding every last bug in the game.
Which do we want? A PTR that lasts 12 nanoseconds or a PTR that gets most of the kinks out of the system? You can't have it both ways.
Truthfully, I wouldn't expect it before the end of August at the current pace of testing. If it were released in anything even remotely close to its current state, it would utterly destroy the game, likely for good. They're still getting core mechanics screwed up (regeneration in particular for all classes) and build diversity is actually at an all time low on the PTR, especially with the LoH changes.
It's going to take a long PTR run to get these things resolved to anybody's satisfaction. And with both Wizards and Monks in one of the sorriest states I've ever seen them in, that's going to take some doing. And the DH, outside of M6, isn't much better off.
I am thinking it will not go live this summer since they have not even added the seasons and this patch is about adding seasons. My thinking is that there will be a couple of seasons played out in the PTR. The seasons will likely be quite short like 1 month Max and maybe a few very very short ones like 1 week or so. You want the first season to be well balanced. You can never get it perfect but you do need to make sure that no major glitches to occur during the first season especially if looking to cater to the competitive crowd. So it is best to have run a few Seasons on the PTR since it is much easier to state look it is PTR for a reason we are testing it out.
They could release the patch without Seasons but then the players that like Seasons/Ladder will think that it might be the same problem as with the PvP it was promised a long time ago and still no real PvP for them.

On Strike and supporting Fallout 4 Mod Makers
Some fallout 4 mod makers have had their mods stolen and uploaded and downloaded on Bethesda's site for the Xbox One.
