And then there were people who got their rock off by going around forums and criticizing people of their opinions in a mocking tone.Seriously, Diablo 3 1.0 was one of the worst gaming experiences I've had in my life, calling it mud(simply because I didn't want to use 'sh*t') is but praise! You can always go around accusing people of using exaggerations and hyperbolic words, but that's just your opinion, it won't magically turn into a fact.
Did you literally play D3 1.0 for 2 minutes of less before uninstalling because it had absolutely nothing at all to make you want to play a third minute? Because that's what it would take for most people to make "one of the worst gaming experiences I've had in my life" an accurate statement. Maybe you just haven't played many games. But no, actually, I suspect that like most whiners, you put in a couple of hundred hours and then got frustrated.

I actually agree with AinyanN (about the state of launch).
D3 1.0 through 1.06 was the most pride obliterating bitch slap I've ever had a video game throw my direction.
It was a maelstrom of whirling shit worthy of biblical reference. An absolute abomination IMO. It took them until 1.08 to even begin to give this title traction. The game has come far, and I for one really enjoy what D3 has become.
Imo drop chances are at a fine place, BUT, there should be some insurance that eventually you'll get what you're looking for. Extremes should be eliminated, it's far from being an impossible job..... But still I personally think that the quality and quantity of legendaries in general is a much greater problem at the moment, a couple of ladder only legendaries will not do the job.
Well said. this would fix the problem. Some gurantee that you will get the items you are after. Vs playing endless hours day after day and nothing. Since I posted this thread, i have seen 4 tier peaces drop playing minimum of 12 hours a day, and some 20 hour days. I did manage to find a dublicate set item of the earth, but still missing 1 peace. Farming t5 at a fast pace and t6 pretty quickly. It is disapointing. resulting in me playing less and less.
I remember a while ago there was a post about character seeding (aka, your toon having a base modifier to legendary droprate upon character creation) - I personally cannot say if this is true or not, but I know this much:
My wizard has 3x more elite kills, and has run over 5x more rifts than my WD has, my wizard found 1 tals (and im fairly sure I got it from kadala) offhand, 2 pieces of vyrs and 1 firebird in that time... and countless blackthornes/shitty ring sets
My WD... 2 zuni, 5 helltooth, 2 jade, and countless *good* legendaries/build enablers in less than one week of playing. Sure you can count me lucky on my WD, but I honestly think this idea of character seeding has merit, I have every class on 70 and some of them are EXTREMELY lucky, while others.. well one set item in a week and then it being a blackthorne, is more likely to happen.
Because of this I am solely playing my WD... legendaries are raining like candy.
2 or 3 minutes of playing a game is not a gaming experience at all! You have to play the game for an extended period of time to know what it is worth. Especially when you need to complete 3 difficulties to reach 'end game'
PLS!
That's kind of my point. I have exited and uninstalled games within 2 to 3 minutes, and the reason I did so was that they were completely, irredeemably horrible. Horrible to the extent that nobody would even dream of playing them for an extended period of time. Horrible to the extent that nobody would dream of completing them. That is the bar you need to sink under to be worthy of the phrase "one of the worst gaming experiences I've had in my life". And I can tell you that neither Diablo 3 nor any release by any major publisher in many years has ever come close to it.
It's hard (if not impossible) to argue with anyone who thinks the current state of D3 RoS is a grass cake or mud, as far as quality in ARPGs go. Most of these are simply stuck in a specific mindset that they're never gonna be able to let go.
It's hard to argue with the fact that RoS has made huge improvements to vanilla D3 in just about every aspect of the game. I feel that the game is in a fantastic place right now, and the fact that we're arguing over minor points is a testimony to that awesomeness
That is the bar you need to sink under to be worthy of the phrase "one of the worst gaming experiences I've had in my life".
There are two possible explanations:
1) The person hasn't really played many other games, therefore he doesn't really know what a "bad game" really is; or
2) Just trollin.
I have no issue with people saying how they felt about D3. But my experiences have shown that I've played DOZENS of games which were demonstrably worse than D3. So for someone to convince me that they truly believe D3 was in the bottom 25% of games they played, let alone the bottom 5%, would take quite a bit. Needless to say that rampant exaggeration doesn't help convince me. I deal with that on a regular basis.
There was a man at my four-card poker table last night who was whining that he'd never been at a table where "no one has won in the last 100 hands." This is despite that someone just won on the last round of hands. In fact, just before he showed up there were two women who did very well for themselves. Now the table was rough from that point on, and I'm not arguing that, but to say something completely inaccurate like that is the ranting and raving of someone who is just ranting and raving to make a scene. Period. End of story.
If D3 is the worst game you've ever played then you should consider yourself LUCKY because that's saying that you've never truly played a bad game.

I recommend to that person the E.T. games dug up in the landfill last month. Whatever flaws D3 may have, at least the controls are functional, the game is smooth, there aren't too many bugs, and the difficulty isn't way over the roof. I have played my fair share of games where these are not satisfied.

lol....I actually played that when it came out (old guy alert).
Even in the days of the technologically inept Atari 2600, even as a 10 year old boy, I knew I had been utterly ripped off. E.T. is the all-time grand prize winner for worst video game ever launched.
Just posting an aproximate of my stats on the green drop rate:
monk - ROS 150 hours,WD - ROS 130 hours,WIZ - ROS 140 hours,Crusader - 50 hours,Barb - 30 hours,DH - 90 hours,WD hardcore 30 Hours With all of them i farm at least t1, up to T4. Set item drop: 7 Blackthorne pieces, 10 Compass rose/litany of undaunted or amulet of the same set,1 - monk shoulders, 1 off hand Zunimasa(verry poor roll on it)... aaaaaaaaand that's it, this is all the green i saw in all those hours. So yea, i'd say the end game sets are just a fairytail for me. at this rate i'll join T6 the next year.
I'm not sure if I got your hours right but do you want to tell us that you played over 600 hours since RoS launched?
And if you "only" mean the playtime on your monk, wd and wiz where you wrote ROS then it still doesn't add up. That would be 420 hours. There is no way you could still be Paragonlevel 285 with that playtime. So either you are farming so ineffective that you don't really do anything most of the time or you got sth really wrong there with the numbers.
For the most part the set drops seem okayish imo. Nearly completed all 3 wiz sets (missing Firebird and Tal'Rasha Head as well as Vyrs Chest) - several doubles or more there, 4x tal rasha neck (all without a good roll), 2x belt, 4x offhand and some firebirds dropped several times. Probably 20+ blackthorn chests, about 10 boots, 7 or 8 blackthorn pants, 5-8 necks and 2 belts, Over 20 Litany/compass rose etc, 1x Focus, 1x Monk fist weapon (on my wiz), got 3 set items on my wd while playing him, 1x 1h xbow on dh.
So overall I'm probably at about 100 setitems with somewhere between 900 and 1200 legendarys overall. 1/10 is actually how the droprate feels ingame too. At about 500 hours played since RoS release.
It is just matter of luck. On my monk got 3 pieces of Inna since start and that was "luck" and probably they moved "luck" out after some time since they didn't want ppl to gear up that fast. After that I got same one piece with crappy stat (pants) and that's it. Loads of crap greens which i'm not gonna use. Switching to WD i got 1 zunimassa , 1 jade piece, 4 helltooth, loads of blackthorn and random other green with crap stats. I also got some weapons for other classes. Like Nat 1h xbow for DH on my WD and green 1h sword for barb, also on wd.
Friend of mine played crusader since start of RoS, he got only 1 piece of Akkhan set for his 223 paragon levels. So saying who people don't know how to farm is just bullshit.
It is just a luck on what you get, if it is the item you need (usualy no) and what stats it had rolled.
Personally, and I mean personally,Id like to see the drops increase given the current state of the Sets. I say this because, as was stated before, the problem I have is that finding the "Green" is not the only step of the Rng process of the current game. First the piece I want has to drop, then the stats I need have to roll and that is the step that is next to impossible to get. Who cares if greens drop if they are junk anyway.Id rather get a ton of greens because I know that most are going to be junk anyway and areinsta forgotten soul anyway. All the increase drops would give me is a better chance to get what I need and weed through the terrible layersof Rng you have to deal with to get those items you want or need. The problem I see is the game does not have Linear progression. As you get higher up the harder it is to find what you need. Dont get me wrong, Im a farming freak and have many thousands of hours total in the game but ultimately the game is just that for me a game and I do it for entertainment. I dont want to take years to gear uplooking for the same ole stuff. Id prefer to see more DLC that injects new items, events and otherthings to the game vs that grind just to find "That" item.
Been playing at least 4 hours a day since RoS release, and took 2 days off during release where I played all day long.
Only been playing my wich doctor.
So far I got 5 zunimassi offhands, 3 helms, 3 boots, 1 ring and 0 chests. Also 5 jade harvester chests, 4 shoulders, 3 helms, 2 legs, 0 boots, 0 gloves.
Its incredibly frustrating that I havnt completed a single set yet. while I found a total of 12 zunimassi pieces and 14 jade harvester pieces.

Guys, please try to stay on topic.
If there's nothing else to be added to this discussion, I might have to close it.
