I looked up online on how to do the calculation to see which one is better for my character but something doesn't seem to be adding up. I have 2079 vitality and around 106k health. For some reason, everytime I put on my armor with +333 vitality, I gain around 3k more health than when I put on +92 vitality and %12 life armor. How can this be possible with my current stat?
Do you already have some %life bonus somewhere, from a set or other armor? Maybe from a skill?
if you have, for example, 10% bonus life already, you'll get effectively 366 vitality from the first armor (333 * 1.1). You'll get effectively 250 (2079*0.12) + 112 (92 * 0.22) = 362 vitality from the second piece. If you have more than 10% bonus life, the first piece will keep getting bigger.
The point is that as you acquire %life bonuses, the value of +vitality increases (and vice versa).
What level are you - I'm guessing not 70 with such low vit/health - and what number are you using in your formula for health per point of vitality? It varies based on your level.
Also do you already have any +% life? The more you already have, the better each point of vit will be, and the comparatively worse more +% life will be.
