I'm surprised to see a bunch of positive posts. There's usually at least that one guy that has to be a negative Nancy =)
But yeah, I'm really happy with RoS. It has some minor issues that need polishing, but they seem to be on top of it. Communicating, making changes, the community team forwarding our concerns to the devs, etc. All good stuff.

Vanilla sold 11 Million in the same Time Ros sold 2,7 Million.
And from the 2,7 Million lots of people are gone again due to the terrible droprates.
Millions of people got Vanilla for free. Not so much for RoS. Also, millions still have a bad taste from vanilla that they didnt even give RoS a chance.
Vanilla sold 11 Million in the same Time Ros sold 2,7 Million.

Expansions never sell as well as the base game. Also the first week sales for D3 were 6 million, not 11. Considering that it's impossible to get 100% of gamers, or even close to 100% of gamers, that buy a base game to buy it's expansion and considering the rough reception that the base game received, it's damn impressive.
Anyone quitting RoS over the "terrible droprates" obviously never played the base game. The drop rates are VASTLY improved, and the itemization is much better.

Factually incorrect. Original release sold 6.3 million in the first week, not 11 million.
And of the "lots of people" gone again already, at least we can comfort ourselves with the fact that they're still part of our community, whining up a storm on the forums like they have been for the last two years. Aren't you?
.......it's diablo. Also these are pretty damn good drop rates I get a leg at least every 30mins if not more. Also they do have to prolong the life of the game as much as possible.
Honestly, 2,7 Million sales for a blizzard game, or expansion, seems like a big time failure to me. And I am actually playing RoS.
Please guys , you could try to be more unbiased. It is not like Blizzard is gonna give you free items, or hire you as MVP's , because you praise the wonders of the game. You will hurt your knees, get up from under blizzard's table. It is not what we were expecting.
And that's not even taking into account the fact that, reading a lot of articles in both this and other fansites, the playing time the expansion offers seems to be even shorter than D3V. And the gear wall (can not find upgrades omggg) is really steep this time. By the time you have found your Thunderfury and SoH, and enchant them to socket, you are pretty much done unless you want to devote 20 hours of game to find a dissapointing set item left.
Heck, announcing ladders (to come in a few months) A WEEK BEFORE RELEASING THE EXPANSION should serve as a clear hint to what RoS actually delivers. Trying to change the focus point from the exp to the ladders is a pretty desperate move I think. Plus , ladders were amazing in d2 mainly for the economy reset. In a game with no economy like this.....I fail to understand the use of ladders, even after having read lots of "love ladders" posts.
I realize my point of view will not be shared by several blindfolded members of this nice community. I accept that. I wish I find the game amazing.....but after 100 or so hours I'm having a really difficult time finding any upgrade, and I'm writing a post here instead of playing.

Well considering in vanilla I went well over 500 hours before finding an upgrade the average upgrade per day of 1-2 is pretty nice

if the drop rates were any higher, at that rate we'd all have BiS gear for all 6 classes by end of May...
