So, I got a chance to play for a few hours last night and I'm really liking the changes, particular the loot changes. However, I feel as if I "spoiled" my character previously by gearing him up via the auction house. I am wondering, given "loot 2.0", if anybody is just starting their character fresh? (either a new character entirely or dumping all previously AH-bought gear).
I might just consider doing that. It seems nice to have a "self-found character". Only now, all the stuff I find still doesn't quite match all my AH-bought crap.
Yes. If your characters do more than 30 or 40k DPS, I think you'll have way more fun starting from scratch.
For all my 60's at 40K DPS+, I just D/E or sold all their gear (mostly D/E, nobody wants my 800 DPS Echoing Fury) and then crafted new stuff, one craft per slot, and then played entirely self-found from there out. My barb went from 90k DPS to about 25k so I had to go from T1 to Expert, but it's worth it. Gear in 2.0 is different, and it can be really hard to give up your AH CC/CD goodies. Much more fun to just go with the flow.
For the one or two that were around 40k, I was finding upgrades so quickly it didn't matter. My shitty HC WD got 7 upgrades in a 1 hour session last night.
