Will it be different on level 70? I played PTR for the first time yesterday with my level 60 WW barb and made it up to T-2. At that level with no changes from d3v it was not bad.
You cannot compare the old difficulty levels with the new ones. Everything changed: skill balancing, EHP requirements, healing (no life steal anymore), itemization, monsters' damage and HP.
Blizzard specifically said they introduced new difficulty names because you can't compare it.
You might wanna say that MP10 equals Torment 6 simply because they're both the highest difficulty level to strive for. But you cannot make a comparison in terms of "is it as easy to get to Torment 1 as to get to MP5"? Gear will be reset, so how do you want to make this comparison? Gear color? In D3V, you could reach MP10 with all rares (perfect quintfecta items and so on), for higher Torment levels you absolutely definitely need the game-breaking legendaries.
So, the answer is: You cannot make a meaningful comparison.

I'd like to echo what Bagstone said. One thing that he didn't talk about also is how the changes in monster density impact the experience too. I've noticed that less monsters in some areas doesn't really impact the difficulty, because those mobs hit like a mack truck and I get dropped pretty fast if I don't switch up the way I'm using my abilities to compensate. In the past, there would be more monsters and I would just run WW into the pack, rend and be at full life almost instantly.
Even anything, it feels like higher Torment levels scale like a paragon chart when it comes to overall difficulty. (Nor = Nor, Hard = N, Master = Hell-->MP1-2, T1 = MP3-6, T2 = MP5-9, T3 = M8-12, etc.)
Monster density was much less but I was still able to use WW most of the time, not all the time like in d3v. I did not die so I think I could go to t3 or t4 but I didn't want to loose the xp bonus from the pools.
