I thought his post was directly related to the weapon posted in the first post, Bagstone. I wanted to know if he feels that waybecause of a lvl 70 weapon being accessible at lvl 44~
I wasn't even thinking about the leveling process on its own (without RoS weapons and the new stuff being counted). I can agree with some of what you said, it feels a bit slow. And yes, the broken builds/items in the end-game kinda ruin it as well.
But after the MP changes, I've been able to level up a character from 1-60 in about 9-11 hours, not even trying too hard or spending too much gold (Leoric's, earlier sockets in weapons, etc.), so I actually think leveling characters is faster and a bit more enjoyable overall than D2. I don't know, doesn't matter much right now so close to RoS, though.
It only takes me about 2-3 hours to get to 60 with a new character on the PTR. Its significantly faster now.
That's pretty cool. I'll be able to level my Crusader to 60 pretty fast then
To give an idea at the exp potential: On the PTR I had a character outside the inn that was like half a level into level 1. I did the leah quest on torment 6 and hit level 4 (so just killing the 6 zombies + quest gave me that much exp). Unfortunately, the hp scaled really hard and by level 15 stuff took a long time to kill and by level 30 it was just too much time for my monk so I dropped it to like torment 2 or something. I still ended up hitting 60 before a single playthrough.
To obtain such weapon you need to either get it from a friend or enchant one yourself.
If your friend will give you one and it is your first playhrough , you might wanna catch up to him fast and play with him at level 70 , though I wouldn't ruin the first playthrough for a friend because it is fun and it teaches him to play better if he can't just melt everything on sight because of an OP weapon for his level.
If you are enchanting one for yourself then you already reached level 70 once and it is your choice to either get such weapon to reach level 70 fast again or if you want the legit playthrough , I already leveled many characters to 60 and I now use anything to help me level up faster if I want to level another character and I don't think it will ruin the fun for me.
Also leveling in D2 was super easy if you had twink gear , just like in D3 , you could even get boosted easily and reach level 60-70 in 1 session.
whats bugs me is that reduce level requirement is now a secondary affix and can drop with it.
i tough it was balanced before when it was a primary so you had to sacrifice to be able to use it at a lower level.
i am fine however with RLR is a secondary but make it enchant only on lvl 61+ items.
this will prevent vanilla players from getting 61+ equipment's that they should not have access to, and lessen the need for some 3rd party site selling em for a profit, as they might be the best for a lvl 60 character. but then its back to the why spend money on gear and not the expansion it self.
