My account has been banned from the Diablo 3 forums for well over a year now. I admit that the comment made was a bit snide, and a timeout was probably justified, but over a year is ridiculous, and the guy doesn't even work on Diablo 3 anymore.
I like a lot of the changes coming up in Reaper of Souls, and I've contemplated updating my World of Warcraft account to the newest expansion...but I struggle to justify spending money on a game that I'm indefinitely forum banned on for making a snide comment years ago.
I've sent numerous support messages, most of them have told me to send an email to forums@blizzard.com, and I have responded by sending emails to that address, and have yet to receive a reply, so I think it's fairly safe to assume it is just being ignored. Let me know if I should hold out hope for my accounts being unbanned or if I should just close up my account.

Unfortunately the Customer Service department is unable to investigate, comment or reverse World of Warcraft forum account suspensions or bans.
If you wish to dispute a suspension or ban placed on your forum account, please contact our Community managers at forum@blizzard.com.
What was I banned for? Quoting somebody who said Jay Wilson has a fat neck. Immediate permaban, and ignored by support. My favorite part is that their support message is telling me to send an email address that I said I have never received a reply from. Almost as good as him mentioning the World of Warcraft forums when not only was my ticket titled for Diablo 3, but Diablo 3 is mentioned numerous times throughout the ticket.
I'm sure I'll get boo'ed and fanboy'd out of the forums, but whatever, I just wanted to bitch.

Well, I hope you got it all out.
Bans are generally irreversible, both for the forum and actual game accounts. Temporary suspensions, yes, sometimes they can be loosened and/or repealed. It sounds like yours is a lifetime ban, which no GM or customer support agent will address. If they do, it'll usually be, "Mr. Deaf and Mute Brick Wall is over there if you wish to continue discussing it, but we're done here."
If your game account isn't banned and is in good standing, I don't see what the issue is, unless you really, really, really enjoy posting on the forum.
I mean, I can go over the official forum Code of Conduct with you... it clearly states all sorts of reasons how any of your threads and/or posts can result in minor suspensions to permanent bans.

Oh, yeah, I have every ability to play.
But do I really want to give a company more money that will just indefinitely ban you for minor infractions and then throw all inquiries into a blackhole?
I mean, I don't have the seething hatred towards Blizzard that I have towards EA, but general disappointment with Diablo 3 and the way support is handled. My moderate interest in RoS is easy enough to overlook.
I doubt you get premanently banned over one comment violating the CoC. Feel free to quit all Blizzard games if you want over it, it is your call, but please don't come here and whine instead, thanks!
So Blizzard is a joke because you got banned for saying something you shouldn't have?
I don't see a joke, all I see is justice being served. The battle.net forums could do with a little less people like you.

"Hey, I thought you'd like the witty irony of grub-on-glowie violence!"
Hmmm. But who actually gives a shit about the philosophical debate in your mind about buying or not buying more Blizzard products? And why bring this up on a discussion forum instead, say, a personal blog that I will never have to see in my life?
They are a joke because they asked you to contact a different group of people whose job it is to specifically deal with these issues? What am I missing?
And people like you deserve to be banned. If you have nothing to contribute to a community or discussion but negative, childish, snide and trollish comments, you might as well not be part of it. People like that are not welcome anywhere, in fact. Simple as that.

Next time don't make snide comments
No man is sane who does not know how to be insane on proper occasions.
