I really suggest everyone go give Marvel Heroes a try. It has DRASTICALLY improved since launch and I have been playing non-stop all week. The game was god awful at launch and deserved the scores it got, but its a shame people don't give it a second look now because it really is an excellent ARPG. Anyone else here given it a try since the latest updates?
I tried marvel hero's it wasn't a game I could really get into.

Well, I've installed the game today and didn't manage to play longer than 15 minutes. The graphics are sub-par, combat is choppy and I don't like any of the heroes available at start. It's not a game for me.
Taste is taste and I respect your opinion, but if youve been playing D3 lately any ARPG's combat doesn't come close, but I think the combat here is miles ahead of PoE's desync/stiffness and other ARPGs expecially once you get further in and see more mechanics and abilities. Once you give it a real shot and play long enough to see the best the game has to offer like the new asgard content and legendary quests and more then it becomes a real blast. Oh and its the unreal engine, idk what issue you have with the graphics, but to each his own.
My problem with the game is that they force some heroes down your throat and if you want your hero , you either have to pay up to start playing with it or rely on your luck and you never know when and if it will ever drop for you.
Also my other problem is that I don't feel like my hero advances when he looks the same always , part of the RPG games is seeing the gear on your character and how gear changes appearance and progresses , I don't like the one look and if you want another one then you gotta buy a customization item to change the appearance to another static one.
I am with you man, I tried all new ARPGS (Torchlight II, D3, PoE, Mythos, etc.) and so far, I can safely say that MH is one of the best ARPGS right now. It's more like D3 than PoE and has a lot going on, with plenty of stuff to do.
Right now, as you said, untill RoS comes out I am playing MH and having lot's of fun with it! At 1st I was kinda turned off by the futuristic theme but as you progress you realize that there are lot's of other stages and and enemies to face and, for sure, this game has a lot of potential that I already see gladly that they are exploiting!
Seconded. I played in the closed beta, and it was indeed an unpolished game. I think the strongest point of the game right now for me is all of the incentives right now to keep playing. Leveling your crafter is actually a grind and has some very useful things. Obtaining your legendary for every character and leveling it up, hero synergies, and although very unbalanced ATM there are some great things coming for PVP.
In short, the endgame is strong with Marvel Heroes now and I think Blizzarcould grab some inspiration from it.
I'm going to try MH, it was a crappy title at launch, had no intention to play it, but everyone seems to be saying that it has improved much since then and I'm interested in playing something from Brevik.
I've been playing PoE for the first time in six months, I only got to level 30 before during the beta, but I think that it is the best ARPG in the world right now. Gonna sink a lot more hours into that game. The depth it has is quite addicting.

"Fear is the mind killer. Fear is the small death that brings total obliteration."
I'm playing the PTR off & on, other than that, picked up PoE again after about a year 7 month break (was in beta). Going to give that a try for a few at least until the next PTR build sucks me back in for an extended stay.
I was playing MH fairly hardcore. 2 max level toons, and about 10 or so toons nearly there. Time to take a brief break, it's a fun hack and slash for some wind down time.
Tried MH, didn't like it. On the other hand, I downloaded a pirated copy of Van Helsing, played it for ~40 mins, uninstalled, and bought the pack that contains the game + the DLC's for U$S13.39 from Steam, the game is excellent for what I could appreciate, totally worth a buy. I specially like the companion's AI.
Tried it. Every single thing you do force you to group up with others. Even auto group invite shit. So many times ive tried to play the game. Trying out skills, having fun. And boom. 3 people in my party rushing through everything. Killing everything.
I wanna play in my tempo. Not in the shitty way Marvel heroes is going

Cheers!
Pfft, I bought a 3dsXL and I'm playing the Zelda a Link Between Worlds, and I picked up Ocarina of time to play after. Might hold me over a tad
DLing, looks interesting.... will be playing free characters.
ur gonna need something to play a week after ros comes out too because its the same game as vanilla
Van Helsing and Grim Dawn are absolutely excellent games! Have sunk many hours in both of them.
Ha. Bagstone.
Gonna give it a try, I don't mind the modern theme if the game mechanics is good enough.
I been playing torchlight 2. Still a great game.

Word of advice about VH, don't play heroic difficulty, the game gets incredibly boring because you can't kill anything at a decent pace.
tryed MH 2 times and couldent play it both times more then 15mins >,<
oops double post >,>
