Because nobody will have on account character with level 70, so Torment will be locked, we will be able only to play Normal, Expert and Master and I think that after few hours it will be very and I mean very very boring....
60-70 can be done really fast from what I've noticed and you'll probably be doing it mostly in Act 5 with new environments you've never explored before.
i see a lot of confusion in this post
OP talks bout patch that will hit servers around 1 month BEFORE datadisc.
there wont be raised level, and no act 5
what we get is upgraded loot (but still level 60)
shared paragon level
if MP1-10 gets changed in to torment version is questionable but i would say NO
They've said that the new difficulties will also be part of the patch.
Yes, but for torment you need atleast one character with 70lvl on your account. And my question was about patch, not about xpack. Until xpack without 70lvl we will have access only up to Master difficulty, so basically my question was wrong.
Time between patch 2.0 and ROS release will be enough new stuff to keep playing or most of the players will wait until ROS release?
I can see pure hate from few posts, but when patch hits, you will clear few bounties, few nephalem rifts, make few points resets with paragon points and then what? Wait until ROS....

If there is any similarity to WoW it will be about one month between the pre-patch and the expansion. Sure people will get bored, but honestly, if it's just four weeks I see no reason to worry if people get bored. Hell, RoS hype coupled with the pre-patch might just be enough to keep people going even if they're not THAT into it, ya know? One month is not that long of a timeframe at all.
Might be due to your first post containing very reasoning about why it would be so boring.
If you see people disagreeing with you as "hate", i suggest not using the internet and/or moving to communities where everyone thinks as yourself.
I love hate, it´s only reason why forums exists, right?
On regards to D2 i can agree wholeheartedly. I have a zip file of about 80 ? DIFFERENT D2 toons somewhere on my harddrive.
So much about "replayabilty".

I would assume farm paragon... kinda like what people are doing now
How are you doing bounties and rifts with the patch???
As of now Adventure Mode will be part of the xpack not of the patch. This is maybe subject to change, but as it is right now, you won't see rifts and bounties coming with the pre-patch.
I'm pretty certain that you can reference a ton of Blue Posts where they said "major system changes [like Paragon 2.0, Loot 2.0, Adventure Mode, and "Loot Runs" (now Rifts)] would be included in the pre-expansion patch." I can only assume this ALSO means the major rebalances to skills going on, the reworking of Life Steal, and build-changing legendaries.
Act 5, Crusader, more skills, Level 70 and the Mystic would be in the expansion pack.
I don't blame you guys for getting that wrong, as most of their "expansion" talk has revolved around a lot of these features, and it has been slightly unclear seemingly for a lot of people.
But as I said, I'm pretty certain that's going to be the way they're going.

Nope, you're wrong. Check the latest blue post on the matter. As it stands, Adventure mode (and its sub modes) are RoS-only, but they're still deciding.
Just like with WoW, the purpose of the pre-expansion patch is to update the game to the same version that the expansion will use. So every feature that will be available to people who don't own RoS will be included in the patch. And everything that requires you to buy RoS won't be available until the expansion launches obviously.

Yup they haven't figured out if it will be in there or not. I sure as hell hope so. Blue post link http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/9679139107#19
