- Has anyone in the beta tried to stack this affix?
- If so: what is a total combined % of this stat that is doable to obtain without having a totally worthless character considering other stats?
No option of playing the beta myself but I'm very curious!
From my understanding, cooldown reduction works a little differently to how most would think it would.
100% isn't cooldown removal, 100% is twice as fast as the original cooldown. It's kind of hard to put it into terms that properly convey the meaning that fit on a tooltip.
Maybe "x% faster cooldowns" might more accurately portray just how it works. Hey, maybe it wasn't so hard.
I could be wrong though, I don't know the exact mechanics behind it.
I haven't looked at in a way that the cooldown is halved with theoretically 100% reduction... little less interesting now but still worth looking into I think :3
Cooldown Reduction should be a powerful stat - it's a primary affix so it's always a DPS or survivability tradeoff. Remember that you only get 4 of those per item so there's no way to get the perfect item with every affix you want like in D3. They can just tweak the values or the cap to make it not too abusable(to prevent a repeat of CM).
