I just wanted to start a little game/discussion for the forums here, for those of us who have been playing D3 since its release last year. Please post a memory you have of Diablo III that is no longer in the game, whether it has been removed by a patch, changed, no longer viable, etc. Feel free to comment on the memory of the person before you, and please add your own! If you like, you can also add pictures/screenshots as well.
I'll go first.
Diablo III: I remember when... we had Invulnerable Minions as an elite affix.
Note: Please, nothing immature like I remember when the game was good, or something like that. The point of this is to reminisce about things that people may have forgotten about, or haven't had the opportunity to experience if they started playing Diablo 3 at a later date. This is not a "let's bash Diablo III" thread. Thanks!
Life regeneration and enrage on champions. Shielding activated by champions much more frequently before nerf. Force Armor before nerf (see 5k HP Wiz Dia Inf Solo Kill). Smoke Screen before nerf.
Forgot to post my memory: I loved the FA nerf because Wizards actually had to stack Vit then. Although they should have announced it instead of patching it from one day to another. FA before the nerf was just too strong and I say this as a Wizard from the beginning.
Q3 2015: I remember when the AH was the only way to get items.
Mine actually relates, surprisingly enough...though doesn't involve time travel into the future, :-)
I remember how my heart sank when my Wizard (who used to be my main) hit level 60, and I wanted to play less and less because using the Auction House for 12 years was such a crummy thought.
Granted, I didn't play Diablo 1 or 2 for 12 solid years straight, but I can still go back to those and enjoy. I didn't relish the idea of buying items from other players and staring at menus for the rest of my time playing. Luckily, Paragon levels and self-finding some decent gear for my Monk kept me going.
