Someone Must be Held Responsible *Revised*

  • #1
I revised my original post on the Bnet forums and once again it got deleted. Talk about extreme censorship! Please read and tell me how this violated the rules:

So after all this time of there being an auction house available in D3, Blizzard finally figured out that it short circuits their "core reward loop". If you believe this then stop reading, now.

My opinion is that Blizzard knew the AH diminished a core gameplay mechanic all along. I think they were smart enough to figure before D3's release that people would gravitate towards buying items instead of finding them. The following statements are based on this belief:

We must now question who made the decision that would sacrifice a core element of Diablo and possibly jeopardize the franchise.

Jay Wilson is not responsible. He was only the director and second to Rob Pardo, producer of Diablo 3. The auction house would not exist if Pardo didn't give it the green light. The buck stops with him.

But fans and devs alike should ask themselves if they really want a person that was willing to sacrifice a core gameplay element of D3 to be producer of future games of the franchise.

They say the first step of solving a problem is admitting you have one. Blizz did that recently with the announcement of closing of the AH. But this is only treating a symptom of the real problem. Now is a time for change, Blizzard. Someone must be held responsible.

    Stop being a fucktard.

You are still demanding Blizzard fire people to appease some sense of vengence. Why the hell do you think that got deleted? Are you seriously that dense?

It got deleted for the same reasons as the first one.

rmrulz outlined it for you the first time here. Clearly you didn't learn a damned thing.

    EDIT
    Your first post:

So after all this time of there being an auction house available in D3, Blizzard finally figured out that the AH short circuits their "core reward loop".

But the truth is, this is false. Blizzard knew before releasing D3 that the AH diminishes a core gameplay mechanic of the Diablo franchise.

So now we must question who made the decision that would sacrifice a core element of Diablo and possibly jeopardize the franchise.

Jay Wilson is not responsible. He was only the director and second to Rob Pardo, producer of Diablo 3. The auction house would not exist if Pardo didn't give it the green light. The buck stops with him.

But fans and devs alike should ask themselves if they really want a person that was willing to sacrifice a core gameplay element of the Diablo franchise to be producer of future games.

They say the first step of solving a problem is admitting you have one. Blizz did that yesterday with the announcement of closing of the AH. But that would only be treating a symptom of the real problem. Now is a time for change, Blizzard. Someone must be held responsible.

You barely edited it. It's still just as inappropriate as it was then.

Well, they did fuck up, I'll give you that.

But removing Pardo would be like having a fight with your dad as a teenager and insisting he leaves the house. Or something. It ain't happening. He was lead designer on WoW. He owns this town. And who would replace him? He holds a pretty high position.

Just be glad they admitted to the mistake and forgive them for it so you can move on.

Your renewed attempt at civility is appreciated. For what it's worth.

    Oh, never mind.

Oh good Jesus you again? You've already brought this up and you've already been shouted down. I'm usually a little nicer but you need to go away. You bring ZERO proof / facts / logical thought to the table of discussion, and therefore you're not welcome.

Who said anything about anyone getting fired? You are jumping to that conclusion. All I want is for Pardo's name to never be on another Diablo product again. Ever.

I'm fine with him staying with Blizz and WOW, designing sparkle ponies for you, Shaggy, to buy for $25 a pop.

Wait, what? You're telling me if Pardo's name was just taken off of say the RoS expansion, you'd be happy? What the hell does that solve? You are ABSOLUTELY driven by some form of vengeance proven by your emotionally driven thread that lacks any substanc, and, well, by the damn title of the thread. I don't even know why I'm entertaining this, and honestly I'm requesting this thread be taken down. It offers nothing constructive and it's entire nature can only be surmised as a flame / troll thread.

Please shut this thread down Dfans.

Makes your posts look like Shakespeare by comparison. :P

It baffles me that people want personal vengeance for ... buying a game that they didn't like that much? I don't even know.

Your point is? I fail to see any coherent logic in this post. I actually think it made me dumber and more moronic! Oh my God I can feel it the stupidity is rising over me! What did you do? YOU MUST BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS ATROCIOUS POST THAT GIVES PEOPLE STUPIDITY PLEASE EXECUTE YOURSELF AT THE TOWN SQUARE FOR ALL TO SEE!!!!

But really, are you that dumb?
Not even Death will save you from Diablo Bunny's Cuteness!

Stop demanding things from Blizzard's staff and spamming both forums with it.
