My current objective is to obtain a single Hellfire ring to level up alts faster.
I already manufactured 4 infernal machines by farming keys in MP6 without too much deaths.
My question: How difficult are Uber runs compared to key farming ?
I don't want to find out the hard way wasting InfMachines.
Should i play them in lower / higher MPs / don't mind ?
MP10. You know how much time it took to get the keys? Now think about doing ubers on MP5 and getting no organs. Think about starting ubers on MP8, and you get an organ on the first fight, but no drop on the second, and for the third you realize you can't beat them (the machine would be lost).
That's why you need a group of whom you know it's capable of beating MP10. Lower MPs are just a waste of infernal machines, but MP10 uber is still something that some people struggle. Get a group of players (or one well-geared player) who can kill ubers on MP10. That's the ONLY thing you should do. Don't solo them, and don't waste your machines on lower MPs.
I haven't played in ~2 weeks because of vacation, but I can check if my friends want to do ubers this week. But not sure about that, if you find someone else to carry you, go ahead, we might not play this week at all. In case we do ubers, I'll add you in-game. In the meantime, you could use the LFG forum to look for people.
Edit: with regard to the post above me, keep in mind that you can't change MP once you started. If you find out that your MP level was too low, the machine is wasted (easy kill, no organ, bad luck). If you find out that you MP level too high, the machine is wasted (can't kill, no organ, bad luck). That's why just attempting ubers solo makes zero sense, because you'll waste some machines to "find" your MP level and then end up not getting organs because even on MP9 (which is already insanely hard for all non-high-end players) there's a chance of getting no keys. Also, the perceived difficulty depends very much on build and group composition.
Or Scoundrel with Buriza + Star of Azkaranth ? Should work fine also, i guess.
2 cents:
1) Untrain your Scoundrel and don't choose a first skill. Whenever he uses Entangling Shot he's not using Multishot, which makes the Buriza less effective.
2) In a recent thread about MP10 ubers solo (by one of the best geared players, so don't try this at home) this was brought up and... I think I agree that Azurewrath might be better than a Buriza.
Thx to Rhye for pulling me through Uber runs yesterday !
Usually i play MP 4-6, so MP10 came as a culture shock to me.
I switched my 30-tick DW-WW to a 1h-HOTA build.
Since i had zero practise with HOTA, my gameplay (follow RHYE
storming cross the screen) sucked big time, but finally i managed
to handle mobs rushing and surrounding me (mostly )
The result was quite a nice Vit-HF ring for leveling toon 7-10 to level 60 (achievements).

i found king/maghda very easy
larder+raka easy/medium
but for kulle/siegbreaker i wa sa friggn two hit, nerv wrecking ^^ so i choose to go down one mp
once you know alle the mechincs you can probably also do it on the same mp but i would reccomend going lower
edit: or find someone to carry you through mp10

You saw the battletag under my avatar pic ?
But OK, here you go: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/huertgenwald-2672/hero/21802446

But being able to play MP10 would surely shorten the "pain".

to 1) I read about this, but i doubt it; 'cause my scoundrel PERMANENTLY uses Multishot !
Maybe that was a bug in early D3 and was fixed ??
to 2 ) will read the post
But anyway, 2 of my templars have an Azurewrath,
so the enchantress might "borrow" them if need be. :Thumbs Up:
BTW: How can your barb have 187k paper DPS with only 1 item ?? Strange

I'm pretty sure that's still how it is in the current build. You gotta skip the entangle skill teir and only train multishot.
There you go. Awesome dude to the rescue
Must be because I sold his gear when it was still equipped and I haven't logged on that character since. Haven't noticed
Yeah, the monk gear has been handed on through all 3 monks
Does a char in a multiplayer uber run have to be alive at the end to have chance to get his potential organ drop ?
TiA
BTW: Rhye, please read the PM i sent you, thx.
PS: Thx for the replay to the PM

Well, congratz on a nice ring for leveling, indeed! Need the same for when RoS hits.
