By that I mean a mode that focusses on killing and progressing trough the acts.
I mean, nobody reads those quests any more. I still have the "skip chat" button on space because it is by far the button I use the most! Every time I killed a few mobs and finished a quest, it's back to town and 10 seconds of space bar mashing.
What I would like to see removed :
- all dialoge
- all those animations that take forever ( diablo spawning, enchantress waving her hands before removing the blockade at the beginning of act 2, diablo dieing etc )
- all those ingame graphic cutscenes
Yes, it would be a strange RPG, and I mean this mode only for after you played trough the game, or maybe for example once you have all conversations achievements. But boy I really really dont need to hear diablos comments on my questing trough act 4 any more. Or that non stop blabbering spider b*tch in act 3. Oh how I hate them. There is no fast enugh spacebar hitting in the world.
Yeah, completely agree. If it was just cut scenes and dialogs, I wouldn't care. But that you actually have to hit ESC+confirm cancel during the Diablo fight is a freaking joke. I've stated it several times, the most annoying event is the Scoundrel recruiting. Takes forever and is pointless. Absolutely unnecessary and out-of-place for a fast-paced ARPG, imho.
I was really enjoying it the first time trough. I think it took my barb over 40 hours to reach inferno, compared to the 15 hours it takes me nowadays, and I enjoyed every minute of it the first time trough.
But the things like the scoundrel event you just mentioned, where you hit space for a minute in the hope that it will shorten the friggin dieing animation, those things really take too long.

how do you go on such a rage about the dialog skipping and miss the most important part?
The jeweler. you have to listen to him babble. you cant even hit space bar while he rambles!
keeping in mind that the cut-scenes and dialogue are really a feature which has been added by Diablo 3 and not a feature of the previous Diablo games. Especially the boss cut-scenes annoy the shit out of me Azmodan throughout act 3 is annoying and childish as fuck. what Diablo 2 did was fine eg one liners at the start of each fight "not even death can save you from me" and they did not need a cut-scene to say it either
The way bosses are separated from everything else allows them to do some cool things but also makes them feel really separated from the world which is lame

dying ;-) If a verb ends with -ie, it becomes y for the -ing form: die => dying, lie => lying, tie => tying.

Given the nature of the game (grinding until going mad) some stuff just needs a "turn off" button.
It's a decent workaround, and works fine while killing bosses and completing quests aren't really worth our time currently.
