There are a lot of possibilities with potion effects, and I think it's an interesting topic. It certainly doesn't hurt to talk about your ideas, and I'd be happy to pass along your suggestions.
Dyes for armor are already useless since you can't change legendary armor except making it invisible.
I just wanted to point out that this is still in the works. I know it's been a long time, but it's still on the way. I'll quoteVaeflare to give a little more insight on the subject.
We’re definitely working on making all dyes work for Legendary items. It’s not a quick-fix, though; as Fearophobias surmised, our artists actually need to go back and redo the textures on all the Legendaries in order to make them dye-compatible.
Find Legendary skin image file -> Open Photoshop -> Add "Hue & Saturation" effect -> Adjust for desired color -> Save for Web.
Lol.. if you want to make a proper dyed piece of armor, it takes more than that.
However.. no, 5 months is too much, but that's porbably because they didn't assign it any priority, which I consider wise, since other things are more important.
Btw, wasn't a technical problem that didn't allow the legendary dye to happen?.

Does that take 5+ months?
lmfao. Yes. Open all legendaries and sets ( x 10 for all different models of the same item). Now delete every static texture, and replace with a dynamic texture. Now, unless you want every piece to be one solid color, you have to change very specific parts of every armor to be dye-able (as seen by other dye-able armor in that the dye only effects parts of it).
You're right, should have been done within a week.
Listen, I'd love the change to come as soon as possible as well, but Blizzard's slightly busy with some of the top games in the world for their genres. I'd much rather something like this be put on the back burner while they flesh out itemization.

Probably not, but is it the priority?
Probably not.

You should put that in your cover letter when you apply for a job at Blizzard.
If anything will last for 5 months I'm sure it's the laughter in their HR department.

Your joke would be funny, if it made sense.
It did make sense, if you'd like me to explain. But that pretty much ruins the joke. And I like shaggy's jokes. A lot.

I'd rather have ugly legs and sweet itemization
