In the end this can mostly be positive for Diablo 3.
It adds more reasons for Blizzard to keep improving the game, since they want to sell it all over again.
"Suddenly" the bad reception of Diablo 3 matters financially to them. Of course the D3 reception mattered without a console port as well, in terms of negatively affecting the Blizzard brand, but with a new D3 release, it's a much more direct relation.
Saddest part is; they might release the version on PS which people wanted originally; offline-mode and no RMAH/AH
In any case I really cant imagine playing this effectively with a gamepad... on the other hand that is true for most games. Most people apparently don't care.
