With the release of patch 1.0.7, we will no longer be reviving or undeleting Hardcore characters as part of an account rollback. This adjustment to our rollback service is being done for two reasons:
1) Hardcore characters were never intended to be revived or undeleted by an account rollback. Bringing Hardcore characters back to life via rollback really isn’t in the spirit of Hardcore (where death is permanent, no matter the circumstances); however, when we originally adapted our rollback services for Diablo III, we didn’t have the technology to make Hardcore characters exempt. We’ve wanted to bring our rollback policies regarding Hardcore characters in line with the game for a while, and as of patch 1.0.7 we will have the tools to do so.
2) In recent months, we’ve discovered that some players who’ve lost Hardcore characters through normal gameplay will fake an account compromise and request a rollback through Customer Support in order to get their characters revived. Not only is this an abuse of the services we provide to the community, but it also impacts other players who have submitted legitimate inquiries by increasing wait times across the board.
-My characters grind and farm with self-found gear, so the new crafting recipes (as quoted by the devs "that can potentially produce best-in-slot bind-on-account gear") are right up my alley.
-With rare crafting recipes' drop rates getting buffed, I also won't have to go on the AH to get recipes for higher grade gems than I'm already crafting. So far since launch, I've acquired two gemcrafting recipes, one a friend gave to me, another I found for the exact same recipe. Another big positive there.
-Marquise gems give me a HUGE gold sink to work toward as well, they give me good reason to keep an eye out for quality socketed helms when I farm, with good mainstat, Vitality, %Life, etc. rolls, so I can make ONE good XP farming helm, ONE good item farming helm, and allow all my characters to wear their own helm for good personal buffs for important battles. Another positive.
-Higher XP rewards for higher MPs will mean I'll get more benefit for struggling through certain MPs that would normally give me a lot of trouble pre-patch. Some of my characters will level faster, meaning more innate MF, meaning more high end items dropping. Another positive.
I'm really not sure what you're referring to by "new content." If you're talking about overhauled skills, new maps, new classes, etc., you're really asking for a lot before the expansion hits.

Really depends on WHO that content is for:
