This game is dead... Funny how in blizzcon they showed pvp and it's been 7 months and there's nothing. Oh wait a pvp blog, but for duels only? TDM will probably won't be in the game and by the time they decide what to do with PvP, another D3 expansion will be out. Here's the thing, WoW comes out with a new expansion every 2 years, and most likely D3 will come out about the same year WoW expansion comes out like that did this year. Funny thing is that Blizzard is working on another MMO called Titan and supposedly it may come out 2013, but I doubt it. They will probably push the release date to 2014 when expansions start to hit again. I'm not expecting much from Blizzard because they remind me of activision with CoD. If you guys/girls realize that Blizzard just wants money and not care for what fans want, what's the point of supporting them.
P.S if you want to PvP, play either LoL, HoN, Smite (beta) or Dota.
They scraped PvP because, as they said in the blog, for a few short hours at a Blizzcon it would be great fun, but you'd get bored with it in a very, very short while. I understand their reasoning but also agree that more could've been done and they've scrapped it way earlier, seeing as it's been the same PvP idea for at least 2-3 years.
But comparing to Activision? Sorry, no. WoW expansions will continue coming out because 10 million people are still _subscribed_ to that game. Not giving them new content to players is like not giving chocolate to people that love chocolate. Why would you deny them? Also it's not at all like CoD, because WoW builds up with every new release, while CoD is a new game every time. And each time with even less content.
Also Titan was never "supposedly" for 2013. Fans can speculate all they want, but Blizzard have never said anything official even remotely comparable to a date. "Pushing the release date" is nothing but stupidity from the community at this point. It's like if a friend of yours said "I'm thinking of buying a new TV, looking at brochures currently" and you interpret that as "I'm buying a TV next week". Then next week you go to your friend's house and say "TV was delayed? Makes sense. You're always doing this to me. Setting expectation and then disappointing me", while your friend just looks at you with amazement.
My opinion? 2015 at minimum. It's an opinion though, just like any other.
Here's an old picture of what blizzard release date should have been http://tctechcrunch2011.files.wordpress.com/2010/12/blizzard-product-slate-leaked.jpg . Titan shows that it will be release late 2013, but since blizzard procrastinate, it will probably be release 2014 along with new wow expansion (though it shows late 2013, they will probably push it for 2014 like they did with BC).

Why would you play anything other than dota?
On topic, Yeah Blizzard wants nothing but my money. Which is why they charged me 60 bucks with no ongoing fee's to play their game. They don't even charge me that much when I sell stuff on the RMAH.
We go on yelling and crying about how bad Blizzard are with wanting our money, they never listen to the community, they scrap idea's that may have been good. I thought it was the opposite? Oh shame on them, they want to give us the best gaming experience possible! They never listen to my "advice" even though they've told me they do a billion times! They're driving themselves into the ground because they're making smart decisions (maybe scrapping the TDM arena this late was a silly idea though)
On the topic of the Titan project, I reckon it'll be around early 2014 when we hear anything directly from blizzard about it.
Also it was a while ago but I read somewhere on a response from blizzard about the WoW movie. Something about not making it because they didn't want to diminish the gaming experience in WoW. That was way before that picture popped up, so they've probably changed their mind. But remember, they said quite a few times in the-making-of videos in both WoW and Diablo how hard it is to make those great looking CGI movies and the length of time involved in making them too.

That's not an official slate.
LOL seriously? Blizzard posted that up whether or not if it's official, AND why would they post that if they are gonna meet the date. The point is, the games that are coming out aren't meeting their due date. By any means it seems like you're really defending Blizzard though they procrastinate a lot, with no evidence. Prove to me that I'm wrong of what Blizzard posted about the games that are to be release. You've stated that the game will be release 2015 at the minimum, but that's not the point I'm making. I'm stating that by the chart Blizzard provided us, it should be late 2013, but we haven't had any videos or news about it except this one http://www.ubergizmo.com/2012/09/blizzards-project-titan-in-the-middle-of-development-with-over-100-team-members/ . Be rational with answer and maybe, just maybe, you'll get the point of what I'm saying.
They scraped PvP because, as they said in the blog, for a few short hours at a Blizzcon it would be great fun, but you'd get bored with it in a very, very short while.
Ya.. Except thats a crock. Who is 'THEY"? Its sure as hell ain't us... The actual players. Id like to see them prove it and put it on PTR.
Lets face it. Alot of things where removed from D3 for the sole reason to sell it to us later in expansions. Nothing more.
They... Seem to think they can just string us along and that we should be thankful for anything they give us. Even if its 1/4 of what the promised.
People were fired from Blizzard's chinese office, or whatever they have there, because of this slate. Back then, the consensus was that this is legit. Nothing surprising though. People look too much into it. Even Blizzard has internal milestones and goals, and they aren't public for a reason: Blizzard changes dates as they see it fit.
I'm not expecting much from Blizzard because they remind me of activision with CoD. If you guys/girls realize that Blizzard just wants money and not care for what fans want, what's the point of supporting them.
Did you forget that Blizzard and Activision merged? They have different development teams, but Blizzard's releases sucking in a similar manner to Activision's releases is no coincidence, they're the same corporate entity.

Where do you get your info from dude? Sigh......Blizzard merged with activision....so yes we can compare them as companies. They are both greedy.
Secondly, WoW has progressive content because it is a subcription based game...unlike CoD & Diablo 3. Do you know why CoD is so small of a game on every release? The graphics and dynamic mechanics put into the game are huge. I agree it's kindy crappy but it's the way it is. Atleast when you buy CoD you know what the game has to offer. I bought Diablo 3 in the hopes for PvP, mainly Team Death match. Ya it sucked that on release Blizzard said PvP wasn't ready. Being a big fan of the Diablo franchise and Blizzard as a whole, I decided to wait. Now Blizzard stated that Team detah match will probably never exist. Fail? False advertising?
Diablo 3 was fun for the first few months, even when you put aside all the nerfs. But the game lacks content, ie: more activites like daily quests or group encounters. This is suppose to be a sequel to the Diablo series.......then why does Diablo 2 have more content? Blind fans calling people haters or whinners but the sad truth is that the list of problems with Diablo 3 keeps getting bigger. I used to be a blind fan but not anymore.
The sad truth is that Diablo 3 falls short, a broken game indeed. GG Blizzard.

Activision and Blizzard didn't decide to merge. Blizzard's parent company Vivendi bought Activision and then merged it with Blizzard. Vivendi is calling the shots on both of them, while it has been calling the shots for Blizzard for the last 15 years. Where do you get your info from?!
CoD runs the same engine for years with small tweaks added each year for each game. The only truly new things are some textures/models and a few pieces of code. It's a recycle process each year that costs Activision almost nothing and brings in huge profits.
I'm not as disappointed as you are that PvP has not made it yet, though I wont hide that I am indeed at least a bit disappointed, mainly because exactly people like you that wanted it badly didn't get it. It's sad, but it's what it is right now. And I can tell you right now that Team Deathmatch is likely 99% sure to not come. Blizz said themselves they'll be looking at other options. TD just happened to not feel fun for them on the long run. Do I trust them? I don't sadly care enough about the topic to trust them. I've avoided PvP in every game and have no idea how fun team deathmatch could've been. But it's a scrapped project. We'll not be seeing it (likely). If PvP is the only thing that you wanted in Diablo then either start looking around for other games or at least shelve D3 for now and follow the news to see when and how exactly PvP will reemerge.
I don't think the list of problems of Diablo 3 is getting bigger. I think it's getting a lot smaller. What has gotten worse since the game came out? The problems that are still present have indeed been here since launch, but which of them have actually gotten worse?
Also, look at the other point of view. Most people (including me and you) think the game has gotten nerfed. A topic just next to this one, created by a long time Diablo 2 fan, says that the game needs to be nerfed more... ?! Oh, yes, it's opinions.
Daily quests? One of the worst things I've heard for a hack and slash, likely in my entire life. Also, all hack and slash RPGs offer team play, but they _never_ add things that you can't do solo. That's maybe one of the most core features in these types of games. I really don't understand what exactly you're looking for in this game.
I'm a natural. I'm not all flowers and sunshine when it comes to Blizzard, but I've taken so much more shit from most other big companies out there that in my eyes Blizz is one of the last that stands their ground and always improves their games as time goes on. If you want though, just so I can prove to you that I'm not as blind as a lot of people in here might think I am I can absolutely post a huge rant about hundreds of faults in both Diablo and WoW. They can't even compare to what I can say about most other games though. Not even a bit.
Posting a rant is what most of everyone else does already. So what would this bring to the issues at hand? I'm here to balance the scales more than anything.
edit: Oh, and don't get me wrong. If Blizz decided to start paying me it would just be fair and I'd totally love it.
No luck so far. But I'm optimistic!
i just dont understand if they have made the pvp mode, tested it and balanced it. but feel it isnt what they want out of pvp and want more of a BG feel to it. why not just release the TDM mode for now and work on the other pvp modes later instead of this stupid dueling crap...
seems like a cop out to me and seems like they are hiding what is really keeping them from releasing it.
either way i will still play and enjoy the game. just doesnt make sense why they would all the sudden scrap the idea they have had planned, made and tested out of no where...

It was not posted by Blizzard, it was supposedly (meaning rumored to be) the slate for all new games. It was found on some foreign site and was never even confirmed to actually be from Blizzard. The article you linked even clearly states it was a leaked product......
Blizzard never recognized it as official, Blizzard never posted it anywhere, it was never comfirmed to be legitimate.
Blizzard has never said or posted that Titam would be released in 2013.
Just to add to the above. Anyone with even a little experience with Blizz release dates can create such a document for the next 15-20 years. You only have to be correct for the next 2-3 releases in order for your "slate" to be considered the "absolute truth". And that's the easiest part to get right.
Where do you get your info from dude? Sigh......Blizzard merged with activision....so yes we can compare them as companies. They are both greedy.

Ya most of my post was a rant......so most of it was a fail. Lets try again. Diablo 3 has major core issues that need to be fixed....and have not yet been addressed by Blizzrad. Itemization? Build diversity? Randomizing Maps? Loot tables? Sure they go around balacing (nerfing) skills and stuff....but I find with these major issues at hand that these small fixes don't do as much good as they should. Sure it's my opinion that Diablo 3 is too easy.......Yet my 9 year old cousin and a very sweet girl, beat the game and told me it was easy......well GG.
I have a feeling Blizzard will one day fix all these issues. They are pretty pro at the patchign game. I still don't approve Diablo 3 release date. What have they been doing all these years? If you check all the pre-release info....this game has 1/5 the features they offered. Yes I understand not everything in development stays the same or even makes it.....but how is it possible all this content disappeared?? Will it be added to an xpac for more cash?
Concerning CoD. yes I know they make mad cash. I wasnt really defending them, just poorly explaining that it's not that simple as stated. They have obviously perfected their business recipe for success. I hope Blizzard isn't going to try and follow them.
Im an old school Blizzard fan since my teens. When I bought Diablo 3 I gave it a chance. If people still enjoy it, then good for them. They have all the right to do so. After a few months and a few hundred hours im done. ya sure I got my money's worth...so I guess my opinion isn't worth while......im just sad.
Sad that Blizzard did let down a lot of dedicated gamers down.
Not that I care about PvP but... What's the problem with releasing TDM which "will become boring in a few hours/days" and continue with brainstorming/implementing something more cool in terms of PvP instead of scrapping it completely to come up with something more cool in terms of PvP. I mean people would be upset anyway - isn't it better to get them upset over *something* instead of nothing at all?

It was not posted by Blizzard, it was supposedly (meaning rumored to be) the slate for all new games. It was found on some foreign site and was never even confirmed to actually be from Blizzard. The article you linked even clearly states it was a leaked product......
Blizzard never recognized it as official, Blizzard never posted it anywhere, it was never comfirmed to be legitimate.
Blizzard has never said or posted that Titam would be released in 2013.
Ha. Bagstone.
