Are these bad for loot or something? Its the only thing I can do right now as I was on a budget to begin with. In around 20 minutes as a TR monk I can do:
Core
Tower 1
Crater 2
Rakkis Backwards
Field of Slaughter + Cave...people skip cave for some reason but its always 2-3 elites, usually a goblin, and a resplendant and they are small as hell.
Keep 3... fast and 2-3 elites
Keep 2 till I hit a dead end unless I have fleeting then i circle back and clear the map
Skycrown backwards... up to 5 elites plus goblins
So Im usually getting 2-3 resplendants and 3-4 goblins per run and a ton of elites and Im paragon 25 and havent gotten a SINGLE legendary thats been to auction. Hell havent even sold a rare for a million yet. Its gonna take me till Diablo 4 is released to get 400-500 mil in gear so I can start doing MP 4-5. I just dont know what Im doing wrong to get no loot.
How are people beating RNG and walking around with a billion in gold worth of gear. I started at releases but quit for a while so probably played for a total of 4 months since the game went live. In those 4 months I have probably made 100 million gold, 25 million of that is looted gold according to my stats, so at that rate it will take me 3 years to have a billion gold. Yet people did it in 3 months. I just dont understand. I am online every day for 7-8 hours. Is that not enough? Should I be farming 12-15 hours a day? Im putting in the effort so Im not like a bunch of whiney WoW crybabies that want free raid quality loot for no effort. But Im not seeing the rewards for it. Its like D3 is the total opposite of WoW. You work your ass off for nothing and in WoW loot is thrown at you and you never have to leave town. And they wonder why everyone quit.

I didnt read your whining, but mp0 is the only real way to farm efficiently unless you have super gear.
3 ways to get a billion gold:
Get crazy lucky with a drop or two. Like almost perfect roll high end set/legendary.
Flip the AH and spend 90% of your time looking at listings.
Buy it on the RMAH.
Very few people have legitly found their way to a billion gold. I've been playing as much as you and I just broke 20 million for the first time (non-inclusive of equipped gear) by selling a single rare amulet with 6 good affixes for 25m. I have flipped a couple items before for profit, but I don't like spending much time in the AH and rather go melt face.
Edit:
By the way, I've found almost all of my legendaries from white trash mobs. Keeps 2 > all elite packs.

Playing a TR monk I usually just run through trash 1 shotting it all. So yea I wonder how many lvl 63s or rings, ammys or even legendaries I have missed because Blizzard refuses to add a real Legendary drop alert and bans anyone for using a good addon that does nothing but lets you know a Legendary dropped. I prefer to listen to music while I play games not have the game sound maxed out with no other noises in my house so maybe I can hear a legendary drop

You can't see a big lazer beam shooting up at the sky or the blip for about 5 seconds on your mini map? I run the same way and have never used sound in d3 yet have never had an issue spotting a legendary.
Either way even before they added the beams I realized missing legendaries is the price I might pay for speed running...

If they are going to force people to speed run because more drops means better chance at beating RNG and getting something good then they shoud have auto loot for rares. Id rather have to stop every 10 minutes to drop a few crappy ones than miss than one badass one cause I kept plowing.
I'm up to about 400-450 million gold made legitimately, without AH flipping either. Most of that was from 3 drops I sold for 50 mil, 100 mil, and 150 mil though. I'm level 48 paragon now and I got all 3 of those drops after 1.0.5 from low level (MP1-4) farming. Two of those were rares. I also don't have max MF. I think the only MF piece of gear I have is my Hellfire ring with 20% that I use for xp, as well as the 10-15% I get from my follower (I use scoundrel).
7-8 hours per day and paragon 25? Did you start last week?
I didn't find any good selling items until I hit paragon 35 or so. Get to 50+ (or gimp your DPS and cap MF, which I think is a bad choice because it slows you down) and you'll find a lot more drops.
RNG.
Plus, only very few people actually have self-found "billions", and I bet almost no one has gotten to a billion at level 25. At paragon 25 I think the average is to have a few million spare, at that time I wasn't even close to 50m or so. Don't stress yourself out about what other people have or pretend to have, they're just bragging.
I usually farm mp3 but this week i just run mp0 and mp1 just for testing on ww barb
between mp1 and 0 you get more yellows so I think it worth to bump up to mp1 if you can, for me on 100k dps unbuffed there is no difference, monster die just as fast, actually mp0 makes me slower because the monster die in one hit and I didn't get chance to regenerate my fury
but really even at my gear level I don't farm mp4-5 because its slow. in mp5 I am not in danger of dying but it just take the monsters to 6-7 times longer for a normal monster to die... and its not like its raining legendary on mp5. on mp1, I get 1-2 every other run and guess what it is the same on mp3. But since I run much faster I got much more legendary this week than when I am farming mp3 last week
rng is one thing but most of my money is from flipping AH. All I ever found and sold since release for over 10m is a rare glove for 25m and sky splitter for 50m (I have another trifecta AR dex glove on me that would yield another 15-20m) but thats it, there is a few items I found I sold for 2-5m but everyday I would flip AH and the money comes in constantly. The flipped items last in 1-2 hours in my auction, 6 hours max. I never relist it even once when I am flipping this particular legendary. the low roll ones yield me between 300-600k and I usually get 2 or 3 a day. high roll ones yield me 1.8m - 2m and I usually found one every other day. No I don't stay on my AH page for hours and hours. I just come in have a look every now and then. you just have to have a good system doing this.
oh one more thing selling unidentified legendaries is very good too
i wished I have known my buyer earlier I could have gotten 20-30m instead of brimstones and 4m
7-8 hours per day and paragon 25? Did you start last week?
You do realize Paragon didnt launch with the game right? Farmed for 15 hours today and havent gotten a single legendary or even an item to post on the AH. Guess I need to maybe up it to 20 hours a day. Im gonna beat RNG and make gold in this game if it kills me.
Low MP farming (MP0-1) is outstanding for both loot and xp but you are doing something wrong somewhere. I can't say for sure what because you haven't provided enough detail but something is sketchy. Especially if you are only paragon 25 farming 7-8 hours a day. First 25 levels of paragon can come in about 10-12 hours if you are farming efficiently. Paragon has been out since I think August/September or so? If you are only 25, however much time you have spent, you haven't spent it very efficiently or wisely.
EDIT: lest the above sound elitist or dismissive, not my intention. I'm just saying there are low budget ways to get yourself farming fast in MP0 whatever the class. Tempest Rush I believe would be the Monk way though I'm not an expert in the class by any stretch. Keys to be effective for any class though are fast movement, high MF and high XP. There are guides out there - find them and absorb. Any class in even low budget gear should be killing enough mobs in speed MP0-1 runs to get 50 mill xp or so per hour at a minimum -- which also as an offshoot has you killing enough mobs to put the odds of getting good drop(s) in your favor. Unless you are crazy lucky, it takes quantity of kills to consistently find something of quality to sell. That said, if you have even 2-4 hours a day (all I usually can fit in and I just hit paragon 93), you can translate effective farming into gear and gold progression. 8 hours or more, you should be killing it if you are using that time effectively.
I've spent $20 on the rmah, and that was just so I could be sure I'd win an auction. Everything my characters have, and more than 1 have pretty decent gear, I have farmed and traded for (got bored of my barb a bit and have started dabling in WD and DH). I haven't spent hours playing the AH either, like many people do. I prefer to undercut most of what is up for sale on the AH and get my cash quickly than wait and try to sell things for top dollar. Most of what I accumulated was before Monster power was introduced (so I was farming on like mp2 difficulty with mp0 drop rates). MP0 is a fine place to farm, and once your MF gets higher from all your paragon levels, the drops will start coming with higher frequency.
Keep with it, you won't get any drops by browsing forums and looking for sympathy for your bad luck. Put in, and the game will put out.
When doing act 3, mp 0 is just as good as mp1. People seem to forget that ac3 mobs is already lvl 63, so mp1 is not needed. In most cases mp0 is better than mp1 because your are more efficient on mp0. And NO, just NO, the 20 or 50 mf you get by doing mp1 instead of 0, is far from enough given the difference in efficiency.

Can you really tell the difference between mp0 and mp1 on act 3 in terms of difficulty? I can't; mobs die in 1 hit regardless, in fact they do up to mp3, I can literally sprint through the entire act without doubling back to kill mobs except for elites and to pick up loot when I'm speed farming.
I have seen many people say MP0 is by far the most efficient difficulty to farm and I just don't see it that black and white. MP1 has 10% more loot than MP0. Not just better quality from MF, but 10% more items dropping, in addition to the bonuses to MF/GF/XP.
You have to farm what feels best for you, MP0 feels like a waste of time to me since I can handle higher difficulty with no change of pace.
