What kind of items do you flip if i may ask?
  • #102
I had no idea so many people hated people that played the auction house. I've spent the last week learning a specific market and flipping the items, and am having a ton of fun doing it. Not the RMAH, mind you, the GAH, but still... if you don't research your item beforehand and put it up for a fraction of its cost, of course I'm going to flip it.

but what are your best niches, could you share ?
  • #105
There is no best. Its all about what you can optain stuff for. The more underpriced an item is, the bigger profit.

So the best niche must be. Whatever thats underpriced most. (which is random.)

  • #107
that's nice that u found the endurance to keep going :D I only made like 2k but i made it within first month when rmah went live and then stopped since game got nerfed to oblivion and ah filled with too many cheap legendarys :F

Grats man. Personally I'm only up to 2k USD.

:/ I think EU markets have it good.

Grats. Quite impressive. Especially that you can still earn money so many months after release.

I'm kinda interested in the tax aspect though. It surely depends on what exactly the DIablo 3 AH is considered to be. Gambling or hobby?

Some gambling income in Denmark is taxable, while some isn't (solely depending on whether or not the gamling provider is accepted within EU or not, it seems).
The reason seems to be, that in the cases were gamling income is not taxable, it is because the gambling provider is paying the tax before giving you the prize. Considering the relatively small AH fee Blizzard has, it seems reasonable to assume this is not the case here.

Income from "hobbies" generally seems to be taxable, if one is actually earning anything, so selling stuff for the same price as you bought it wouldnt be taxable - since there would be no profit obviously.

Anyone actually asked "Skat" (in Denmark in this particular case) or the tax administrations in other countries if Diablo income is taxable or not?
Pretty much only seeing people referring to their law-studying/lawyer friends etc, which hardly counts :D
The incomes some people are seeing (examplified by this thread) is getting large enough that people could get really into trouble if they didnt have the correct information.

But I have a question, sort of legal one, is the money you get from RMAH already been taxed in some country? If not, what kind of law would make you tax that income when you technically didn't make the income in your country? I mean if I go to other country, get a job there, it makes sense not to tax it in my home country...

That would very much depend on both the country and the specific situation.
If you work in one country and live in another, you would most likely have to pay tax in the country you live in (at least that is the case here), regardless of where you work. If you both work and live in another country it would be another matter of course.
Beside, when sitting at your PC and "playing the Diablo AH", you literally are making those money in your own country. It hardly matters that you are selling to someone outside your country, nor does it particularly matter where the servers etc. are placed (that probably matters for Blizzard). It is still you as a person who is making the money (and doing the work) as I see it.

I'm faily sure its free of tax. That was what the answer i could read myself to on the tax website. I'm sure im not going to pay tax of it, since im not going to report it as an income. hehe

Don't understand why you resist on giving more detailed info about the great deals you make. You say "everything that is underpriced", you could give a couple of EXAMPLES. So far you have told everyone how much you made and generalized foggy info on how you made it. I believe that if you want to share then you should really do so. Post idk 5 examples of really good deals. Otherwise is not really sharing more like us seing your success.

You realize how bad this makes you look?

Necroing this thread in a manner that appears as if you're just poking at everyone to stir the pot.

Close this piece of shit brag-wagon of a thread.

Really? after almost 7 months, this is what you decided to post and necro this stupid thread?

I remember accusing you of botting but i can't see any of my posts in this thread so they might have been deleted after you reported them, i dont know... But i still say that you are a botter. It's obvious.

Besides what you posted is ~2500 euro made in like 5 months... You can make more money by working at a gas station. So i don't consider this as such an achievement especially when you are sitting all day infront of your pc getting fat. Ofcourse you will say that you already have a job and that you make this money in only 1 hour per day blah blah... yeah right. You love your demonbuddy... I'm sure of that.
