You make no sense. 18 people still playing d2?! Is that supposed to be a joke of some sort? Is that what they call blind fanboism? You should know there is still thousands of people playing d2 and there is nothing you can do about it. Anyway try to make belief that d3 is the successor of d2 and did not destroyed the franchise. And be noisy about it.

No joke. It is a fact. Only 18 people play D2 still. Chris, Steve, Bill, Tim, Randy, Rick, Greg, Marvin, Fred, Timothy( I call him timothy so I don't get him and Tim mixed up), Harold, Frank, Lionel, Dwayne, Uriah, Paul, Sampson and William.

That's it....those are the 18 people whom still play.

Well...you should know better. Ask me first next time and you won't draw my ire. You can reach me in-game and ask permissions there. I may or may not grant you permission to speak, but at least show me some respect by clearing your intents with me first.

Maybe looking into the number of visits a day this site gets since release could provide a hint, keeping in mind it is probably visited by only a 'special' part of the community

Is that a veiled shot at the members of this forum....a clever "fanboy" reference?

I believe I can help you out, brx. The issue appears to have been with your original Google search which led you here.

Apparently, you meant to type in Notdiablofans and ended up here. An easy mistake. I'm sorry to inform you, however, that Diablo 1 and 2 are long fucking dead.

I can accurately tell you how many people still play those games from yesteryear......... 18. The answer is 18 people still play those games. Heck, that's almost 20, nearly.

    Fun fact;

Diablo 3 still sells around 15-20k units weekly, thats more players then USwest and East combined in D2.

    Reality, it hurts doesn't it?

Blaze one for me too, smokey. I am setting off to see a 3-D children's cartoon at IMAX with my 13 year old daughter and my ex-wife's 6 and 7 year old (don't ask....long story). So I must abstain from such levity for the day. This evening however, I will indulge greatly.

Some people do not "Get" my humor. I am glad that there is at least one person whom does.

15 to 20k. That is some precise shit right here. And wasn't it your argument that the number of sales does not mean the game is any good?

You really are borderline retarded arent you?

The 15-20k NEW players weekly would indicate, quite clearly, that more people are playing the game then your hilariously misinformed estimate. As in, more new people BOUGHT Diablo 3 in the LAST MONTH then your previous estimate of the entire existing player base, you massive, incoherent, mouth breather.

I'm curious i've seen the sample Xfire provided today and it said 11k

So i'm estimating about 30k or 50k still play this god forsaken game?

Troll much? Sorry, but posts like this are just plain ignorant.

I still play. Past that, don't really give a flying purple fuck.

So much potential here, and I friggin guarantee lots of these hating, impatient douche-bags that have sold out all their gears for a few quick bucks and quit, are gonna come rushing back only to be frustrated by having to start over.

If you are going to use xfire, you can look at the daily playerbase.

Numbers from Riot games 12.10.2012 is that 12M are playing LoL on a daily basis.
Of these, there are on average 22.600 Xfire users.

If you do the math here, Diablo has 1,5M players on a daily average.
But this is still just a rough estimate and a way too small sample size only comparing one other game.

You don't understand it was funny because CoD have (way) more people still playing the game and you hate it. Still not getting it? ofc not. Lets try this: CoD is my favorite game, and is played so so much more than d3.
    MAD?

You don't understand what's really funny because Bieber has (way) more fans than CoD and you hate him. Still not getting it? Ofc not. Let's try this: Bieber is (not) my favorite artist, and is listened to so, so much more than people play CoD.
    MAD?

    More seriously:
The fact that CoD has more players than D3 goes to show that, in the end, the numbers really don't matter much.
