1) Ruksak's point was valid; he wasn't accusing anyone of anything, he was just asking others if it was safe. The reactions were way over the top.
1) @ruksak: as a fellow blazer, I must say that I find Claudius' posts so insane that they're funny; don't take them so seriously. Just chill and see the lighter side of things :Thumbs Up:
And once again: GREAT JOB, OP!!
You're right. I was incredibly.....sober earlier and I can't let these people get to me like that. Being called a "troll" for asking a question and talked down to like that is entirely uncalled for. I was just espousing my personal practices while on the internet, much of it because I wish never to be victimized by having my account robbed.
To the MODS; I think it would be best to delete the back and forth exchange between me and the 'holier than thou' duo that took such exception to my PC ignorance as if I was was some silly troll-child.
This thread should then be stickied due to it's value as a resource to the community.
as for Clavdivs site, it is safe - i checked it, though i lack a necessary number of posts to be reliable, only text is there. wix.com is a reliable provider.
Oh, really? Didn't know that, sorry. It was just... well... the connotation when you read wix.com... in German, it translates to something like "fap.com" and you can imagine what one would expect on such a website ;-)
Edit: I second deletion (or extraction of the offtopic posts, including this one) and sticky.
It's a shame that threads with quality content such as these get filled with pointless nonsense and theatricality. Never really liked that, and I'm starting to actually dislike it.
I'm not going to delete all those posts (even though I wish I could) because discussing whether or not the websites are legit or can contain malware is within the boundaries of the subject matter. I just wish people would discuss the topic at hand instead of resorting to personal attacks (because those are so mature, aren't they?).
And HAL, the websites provided in the original post aren't from Clavdivs. If you're referring to Clavdivs own website, it's something that doens't even belong in this thread.

no, but it was specifically mentioned in thread as a site with 'weird' address, and i reacted to that also. so it kinda belongs to thread - i was defending both OP site (as primary) and Clavdivs one (as collateral), as both were labelled as potentially unsafe - and it would be a shame them not to be visited cause, let's rephrase - mistake.
in every post i clearly had at least part of text sticking directly to original topic. i can't found where exactly i have lost temper or was wrong (since i'm incapable of either), but i am willing to erase whole thing from my memory. no hard feelings...
and i see a general consensus that thread should be a sticky
Did someone ever save that website locally? It's offline and Google Cache doesn't have it anymore either. It would be the last comprehensive, easy-to-search (CTRL+F) source for legacy items...
It was just a plain list of all the legendaries. Just text, no interface or anything, just a list of all items scrapped from the API, one by one, in one large file, and searchable with CTRL+F. There might be some databases that have all those items as well, but I don't want a website with an interface of 10 dropdown lists and whatnot, CTRL+F is so much quicker. Too bad I never saved it :-(
Edit: I just read above that in an earlier post my younger me said he downloaded that thing. But where? Meh... gonna search my hard drives tonight. If I find it, I'll post it somewhere... I also messaged OP via PM, I hope we get this for 2.0.1 as well ;-)
OP never responded, and I couldn't find it in my history, but I found it in some web archiving tool (the Internet doesn't forget anything!). Put if back online; missing CSS though, but cba to fix that... I just want to be able to quickly CTRL+F search through all legendary items, and for that an ugly-looking non-CSS site will do (at least for me).
