Just decided to come back to see how the game is since I didnt seem to enjoy GW2 or MoP. When I quit DHs were still pretty much miles ahead of everyone else when it came to farming. Also when I quit WDs were pure garbage, like worse than a Vanilla Ret Pally garbage. Just wondering if they made all classes at least close to each other when it comes to farming.
Also Im starting to understand the whole MP thing but is there a noticeable increase in how hard stuff is for each level you raise it? Like even though its still only Act 1 if its like MP 8+ will you get raped? Also until I get my Paragon level up will I be forced to wear a full MF gear set like you used to have to or have drops been improved a lot? I remember farming for 2 months straight for 6-9 hours a day with 340 MF and the most expensive item I got during that time period only sold for 20 million. Also there were stretches of 4-5 days when I wouldnt even get anything worth putting on the AH. I hope the hell drops are better than that now. I quit because it just seemed like no matter how hard I farmed and how much effort I put into it all I got was shit and I was never able to even farm past Act 1 because of that.. It was like my 340 MF didnt matter at all.
1. Yes, all classes can essentially farm effectively once geared and spec'd to do so. Currently WW barbs, Tempest Rush monks, Archon wizards, Zombie Bear/Zombie Dogs WDs, and—I don't really know about DHs—can farm incredibly fast.
2. High MPs are designed for greater challenges. The rewards are... not really worth the trouble, except in the cases of farming keys and killing uber bosses for their corresponding drops. It's better to do multiple runs on lower MP levels and struggle through a single high MP round.
3. Most legendaries and set items are best-in-slot. Now that unique items drop a lot more often, you can count on getting better items the more you farm. For example, I just geared up a monk while farming with my wizard. Inna's Radiance, Natalya's Bloody Footprints, and the bracers were all found via drops. The rare ring was traded for with my friend after I found a ring that he could use, so essentially I got that for free as well.
4. On a personal note, I'd advise you ditch the whole MF set because that holds you back from killing faster, which holds you back from paragon leveling. The faster you level, the more stats and MF/GF you get, the faster you'll end up killing, the more loot you'll end up getting. Pimp yourself out with the best DPS/survivability items you can find and get to farming.
The real decision is just class, but build within a Class.
If you have no preferance in playstyle, than any of the above metioned builds will do.
But if you prefer a certain playstyle, make sure you read up on the builds which work before picking a class.
(Example: If you like the hydra/blizz kite playestyle of a Wizard, you will be deisappointed when you find out it is not viable right now.)
